Gearing Up for Rocky

The Tongue River Eagles football team will open their season at home Friday, as they'll host Rocky Mountain at 4 pm in Dayton.

Even though the Eagles couldn't muster a win last year, Head Coach John Scott says that they head into the game with an optimistic approach.

Tongue River has already been bit by the injury bug, as three leaders won't be suiting up for the season opener.

COWBOY'S KAMRIN ALLEN WINS FIRST GOLF TITLE OF COLLEGE CAREER

The Wyoming golf team successfully defended their Battle in the Tetons title on Tuesday afternoon at Headwaters Golf Club in Victor, Idaho as the Cowboys fired a tournament-low score of 277 (-11) in the third and final round of the eight team tournament.

Sophomore Kamrin Allen carded a 67 (-5) on Tuesday as he earned the individual championship title as he won his first event as a Cowboy, he finished the tournament at 210 (-6).

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team hosts Casper Kelly Walsh tomorrow night we will have it live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio the First Federal pregame show will start at 6:30 kickoff is at 7:00.

The Big Horn Rams and Tongue River Eagles open the regular season tomorrow we will broadcast both games live for you as well on KWYO and 87.7 FM the Rams host Greybull kickoff is at 1:00 and the Eagles host Rocky Mountain with kick off at 4:00.

TENNIS / VOLLEYBALL RESULTS / "MICHELLE LUDWIG" X-COUNTRY THIS WEEKEND

TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams hosted matches with Natrona county Tuesday the Broncs won 4-1 the Lady Broncs lost 3-2.

The Broncs will play at a tournament in Scottsbluff, Nebraska this weekend the Lady Broncs are off.

VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team was swept in Gillette last night in their first conference match of the new season.

The Lady Broncs along with Big Horn and Tongue River will all compete this weekend at the Gillette invitational tournament.

BRONC FOOTBALL OPENS WITH ROAD VICTORY / HOME OPENER FRIDAY NIGHT

FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team beat Laramie 27-7 in the season opener Friday night. The Broncs jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead and were never threatened in the second half, Head coach
Don Julian.

Bronc QB Kameron Eckhard threw two touchdown passes and senior running back Daniel Sessions had two touchdown runs in the victory.

The Broncs did turn the ball over three times and had numerous penalties and Julian says all that is
fixable.

Sheridan Broncs Take Win Over Laramie Plainsmen

The Sheridan Broncs took the win over the Laramie Plainsmen with a final score of 27-7.

SHS TENNIS TEAMS SPLIT OPENING MATCHES / BRONC FOOTBALL KICKS OFF TONIGHT

TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams split results with Jackson yesterday as they opened their season.

The Broncs dropped the team match 3-2 while the Lady Broncs won 3-2.

Lady Bronc winners were Julia Fenn and Katelynn Brooks in number one and two singles the winning match for the Lady Broncs came in number three doubles when the team of Belen Espada Wioque and Taylor Greeting took their match in three sets.

The Lady Broncs will be back in action today and tomorrow as they travel to a tournament in Rapid City.
