August 30th

Sheridan Broncs Take Win Over Laramie Plainsmen

The Sheridan Broncs took the win over the Laramie Plainsmen with a final score of 27-7.

SHS TENNIS TEAMS SPLIT OPENING MATCHES / BRONC FOOTBALL KICKS OFF TONIGHT

TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams split results with Jackson yesterday as they opened their season.

The Broncs dropped the team match 3-2 while the Lady Broncs won 3-2.

Lady Bronc winners were Julia Fenn and Katelynn Brooks in number one and two singles the winning match for the Lady Broncs came in number three doubles when the team of Belen Espada Wioque and Taylor Greeting took their match in three sets.

The Lady Broncs will be back in action today and tomorrow as they travel to a tournament in Rapid City.

BRONC FOOTBALL OPENER TOMORROW NIGHT IN LARAMIE

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team opens the season tomorrow night at Laramie. We will have the game live for you on 14-10 KWYO the First Federal pregame show will start at 5:30 kickoff is at 6:00.

On the eve of the season Head coach Don Julian says the Broncs have done the hard work to be ready to start the season.

And Julian says the Bronc seniors have done a great job of being positive leaders for the underclassmen.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles didn't play football in 2011, last year Head coach John Scott took over to rebuild the Eagles program and now in year two the team looks to move forward with the foundation that was built last year.

Scott talks about what has changed going into this year's season from the growing pains of 2012.

And he says the nice this about camp this year has been they are way ahead of where they were a year ago.

BIG HORN LOOKING FOR MORE SUCCESS IN 2013 / FULL FALL SPORTS SCHEDULE BEGINS THIS WEEK

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams open the season with a scrimmage game at Lovell Saturday.

Rams Head coach Micheal McGuire the Ram's first week of practice went well.

And with new players taking over leadership roles from a great senior class a year ago McGuire feels this year's rams will have a similar look to 2012.

A big factor for the Rams heading into the season is the return of three year starting Quarterback Connor McCafferty.

IT'S GAME WEEK FOR SHERIDAN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Broncs open the 2013 4-A season Friday night at Laramie, Head coach Don Julian says after two weeks of two a days the Broncs change to game week mode.

And Julian says the first two weeks were very productive for the Broncs.

The Rams, Tongue River and NSI will play zero week scrimmages this week and open the regular season September 6th.

The Rams open at home with Greybull the Eagles open at home against Rocky Mountain, NSI will play 6-man this year and opens at Dubois.

August 22nd

WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL GOLF SEASON OPENS / ROCKIES TONIGHT / BRONCOS SATURDAY

HIGH SCHOOL GOLF - The Big Horn and Tongue River golfers played their first tournament of the season yesterday in Sundance.

The Rams and Lady Rams finished 3rd Mick McAdoo finished 5th and Brody Bard was 7th for the Rams, Kaliegh Anderson was 6th and Jamie Kitterman was 8th for the Lady Rams.

The Tongue River boys finished 5th and did not have any players in the top 10, the Lady Eagles didn't have enough players to have a team score.

The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers finish up play today in Cody.
