SEVEN FORMER COWBOYS JOIN NFL TEAMS

LARAMIE, Wyo. (April 29, 2013) Seven former University of Wyoming football players received free-agent offers from five professional teams over the weekend.

While no Cowboys were selected in the annual NFL Draft, which concluded Saturday, the seven will get a chance to catch on with the teams through free agency. The group includes former standouts Luke Anderson, Nick Carlson, Korey Jones, Josh Leonard, Kyle Magnuson, Mike Purcell and Kurt Taufa`asau.

MONDAY SOCCER- LADY BRONCS TAKE DOWN CHEYENNE SOUTH

The Sheridan Lady Broncs beat Cheyenne South Monday by a final of 4-1. The game was make up of their conference game that was snowed out in Cheyenne two weeks ago.Today's match was played in Casper.

Next up on the soccer schedule is the regular season finale for both the Broncs and Lady Broncs in Gillette Friday evening.

Weekend HS Sports Wrap For Johnson County

Buffalo High School athletes had a good weekend of competition, with the soccer teams coming home victorious and the track and field team having a good showing at the Wyoming Track Classic and Kelly Walsh Invite, both in Casper.

SHS / SC SOCCER / TROOPERS OPEN WITH A SWEEP

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - In soccer action over the weekend the Broncs went on the road and came home with two scoreless draws at Cheyenne Central and East.

The Lady Broncs dropped both games including a 1-0 overtime loss against Central. they will play Cheyenne South today in Casper it's a make up of a match that was snowed out a week ago.

Both teams close out the regular season Friday with conference matches at Gillette.

SC Volleyball Introduces 2013 Recruiting Class

The Generals volleyball coaching staff would like to introduce the recruiting class of 2013 that will be joining Sheridan College this upcoming fall. With just five returners from this year’s team, the Generals have added nine freshman to National Letters of Intent for the 2013 campaign.

The Generals will be led by sophomores Britney Titensor (All-Region), Carley Gerving, Kaitlyn Englert, Kaylin Edwards, and Tessa Woods as they look to go after a Region IX Conference Title with the help of these talented newcomers:

WYOMING TRACK CLASSIC/ TROOPER OPENING DAY / SOCCER / GOLF

WYOMING TRACK CLASSIC - The Wyoming track classic runs today in Casper a dozen Sheridan county athletes will compete.

Qualifiers from Tongue River high school are Josiah Huff in the 400 meters, Amanda Hutchinson in the 800 meters and Sarah Nielsen in the discus.

Three from Big Horn high school will compete Matt Wigglesworth in the 300 meter hurdles, Christian Mayer in the 100 meters and Bailey Bard in the 400 meters,

With the weather looking like its finally willing to cooperate, a busy schedule for Buffalo High School athletes may actually be completed this week.

WYOMING TRACK CLASSIC FRIDAY IN CASPER

TRACK / FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams are getting ready for competition this week at the Wyoming track classic tomorrow and the Casper invitational Saturday.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs are coming off solid finishes in their own invitational this past week and Head coach Art Bauers says the Dan Hansen meet was the largest ever.

Qualifiers will compete at the Wyoming track classic in Casper tomorrow the meet will be held at Kelly Walsh high school.
