Playoffs loom, Manning still looking to improve

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - Peyton Manning writes down his New Year's resolutions on index cards.

Though he refused to divulge what's on those cards, he never left much doubt about what his day-to-day goals on the football field were for 2012, the year of his comeback.

Work hard. Improve. Keep building chemistry.

Those are the only ways to get to the ultimate goal - winning the Super Bowl, which is something Manning and the Denver Broncos are now favored to do.


The 2013 Elks Hoop Shoot will be held on Sunday, January 6 at the Hoffman Dome at Sheridan College. Shooting will begin at 2PM.Contestants should arrive no later than 1:30 to check in.

The contest is open to girls and boys from 8 to 13 years old. Age will be determined by how old they will be on April 1, 2013. The three age groups are: 8 - 9, 10 - 11, and 12 - 13.

Washington Wills Pokes Past SMU 59-56, Pokes now 13-0

Dallas, Texas (Jan. 2, 2013) – Senior forward Leonard Washington notched 19 points and 11 rebounds and scored 13 of the University of Wyoming men’s basketball team’s final 17 points to guide the Pokes to a 59-56 win at SMU on Wednesday night in Moody Coliseum.

The Cowboys trailed by four with just over six minutes left, before Washington took over down the stretch to give Wyoming its best start in program history at 13-0.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady bronc basketball open a tournament in Riverton tomorrow night.

They open the three day event against Casper Kelly Walsh games will be at 5:30 and 7:00 and you can hear them live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

BH BASKETBALL - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams start play at home against Wright Friday. games are set for 6 and 8 PM.

TR BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles are at home Friday night as well against Moorcroft. games are set for 4:30 and 6:00.

Bison, Buckaroos Open 2013 Seasons This week

High School athletes will be back at it this week, including all winter sports teams from Buffalo and Kaycee High Schools.

The Bison boys' basketball teams will be at Worland on Friday and will host Glenrock on Saturday.

The Lady Bison will play at Worland Friday and at Glenrock Saturday.
