STATE SWIMMING / VOLLEYBALL / PLAYOFF FOOTBALL

STATE SWIMMING / DIVING - The 4-A state swimming and diving championships concluded Friday the Sheridan Lady Broncs finished 6th, Gretchen Dougherty All-stated in the 100 butterfly finishing 3rd.

STATE VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams will play Lovell Saturday afternoon for the 2-A state championship. The Lady Rams beat Thermopolis in thee games in the semi finals Friday night.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles staved off elimination beating Kemmerer Friday, they face Wright today for the right to move on and play for 3rd / 4th place.

LADY RAMS STATE VOLLEYBALL SEMI FINALS TONIGHT

The Big Horn Lady Rams won easily over Kemmerer in their first round of tournament action last night in Casper at the 2A State Tournament, (25-14), (25-10), (25-21).

The Lady Rams advance into the semi-finals tonight at 6 pm and take on Thermopolis.

STATE SWIMMING FINALS / STATE VOLLEYBALL DAY TWO / PLAYOFF FOOTBALL

STATE SWIMMING AND DIVING - The 4-A state swimming and diving championships conclude today in Gillette as the finals begin today when teams begin to accumulate points.

STATE VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams the Tongue River Lady Eagles opened the state volleyball tournament last night in Casper.

The Lady Rams advanced to the semi finals while Tongue River lost, the Lady Eagles face an elimination match this afternoon.

They lost a five set match against Thermopolis while Big Horn took their match with Kemmerer in three games.

PLAYOFF FOOTBALL / STATE VOLLEYBALL / SWIMMING AND DIVING

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS - The Sheridan Broncs host Casper Kelly Walsh tomorrow night in the first round of the 4-A playoffs.

We will have the game for you live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio. The First Federal pregame show will start at 6:30 with kickoff at 7:00

The Broncs and Trojans played two weeks ago in Casper with the Broncs coming out on top 20-10 in a hard fought battle now they meet again tomorrow night Broncs Head coach Don Julian says it's just the way life is in 4-A football.

Jo Co High School Weekend Sports Preview

The fall high school sports seasons are nearing their end with playoffs and state competitions this weekend.

This afternoon the Kaycee Lady Bucs will begin their state tournament with a first round match against Little Snake River. That match is set for 6pm.

RAMS / BRONCS PREPARE FOR THE PLAYOFFS

BIG HORN FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams host Kemmerer Friday afternoon in their first round playoff game.

The Rams are 8-0 and northeast conference champs Head coach Micheal McGuire says they had a great regular season and now are looking ahead to make a great playoff run.

He says they've been tough all year and need to be even better now that's it's single elimination.

STATE SWIMMING / DIVING / STATE VOLLEYBALL / PLAYOFF FOOTBALL

STATE SWIMMING / DIVING - A dozen Lady Broncs will compete this week at the state swimming and diving championships in Gillette, prelims get underway Thursday.

The 12 qualifies represent half the team and Head coach Brent Moore says that's a huge accomplishment.

Joining ten swimmers are two divers Brielle Smiley and Sarah Von Krosiek and Moore says both did a great job of getting themselves in position to make the state meet qualifying standards.

Christensen Susupended and Fined for Calhoun Dust Up

LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Wyoming coach Dave Christensen has been suspended one week and fined $50,000 for his actions following an Oct. 13 loss to Air Force.

Athletic director Tom Burman said Monday that it's important to send the right message to the team about taking responsibility for your actions.

Christensen confronted Falcons coach Troy Calhoun on the field after Air Force's 28-27 victory.

STATE X-COUNTRY / REGIONAL VOLLEYBALL / PLAYOFF FOOTBALL

STATE X-COUNTRY - The Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams finished up their season at the state championships Saturday. The Broncs had a strong showing finishing 3rd the Lady Broncs were 8th.

For the Broncs Michael Rottelini finished 3rd Taylor Bruso was 15th and Kyle Dietsche was 22nd.

For the Lady Broncs Alex Vaira was their top finisher in 22nd place.

REGIONAL VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan Lady Bronc volleyball team was eliminated from the post season by Laramie at their regional tournament in Gillette.
