July 9th

WYO RODEO BEGINS / TROOPER BASEBALL / MORE YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMPS

WYO RODEO - The 2012 Sheridan WYO rodeo starts this morning at 7:00 with steer triping slack, tomorrow through Saturday slack will begin at 9 am.

The first performance starts tomorrow night at 7:00. For the complete weekly schedule of rodeo events and activities you can go on-line to sheridanwyorodeo.com.

Sheridan Media will be making our annual broadcast Friday morning starting at 6:00 at the Kiwanis pancake breakfast and finishing up with the WYO rodeo parade at 10:00.

BIG HORN POLO RESULTS

There were two tournament finals played on Sunday at the BHEC – 1:00 Coca-Cola Cup; and at 3:00 the Fremont Motor Challenge.

During the 3:00 game, the Iron Brotherhood rolled in with many motorcycles as the finish to their Poker Run, which benefited the Sheridan Senior Center.

They had also raffled off a coin set. In total they raised about $1,000 to donate to the Senior Center.

In the Coca-Cola Cup, Sheridan Seed Co. played Century 21 to and 8-8 tie. The teams opted not to play an Overtime Period, and Sheridan Seed won the game on a coin flip.

July 8th

WYO RODEO WEEK / TROOPERS IMPROVE TO 35-8

SHERIDAN WYO RODEO - The 2012 Sheridan WYO Rodeo week kicked off Saturday at the boot kickoff at Sheridan college.

The first rodeo action starts at 9:00 Wednesday morning with steer roping slack and the first performance starts Wednesday night at 7:00.

WYO rodeo board member Nick Siddle says fans will see all the top PRCA competitors in action all week long.

Siddle says after all these year's the WYO rodeo has become a destination not only for the best in the PRCA but for rodeo fans as well.

2012 WYO RODEO / TROOPER BASEBALL / MLB ALL STAR BREAK

WYO RODEO - The 2012 Sheridan WYO rodeo week kicks off tomorrow with the annual Boot Kickoff which will be held at Sheridan college.

We've heard from WYO rodeo board member Nick Siddle this week as we get ready for rodeo week.

Siddle says the board has had a lot of help over the last several years to make the WYO what it is today.

The best of the best of the PRCA will compete in Sheridan next week as the top 20 cowboys and cowgirls will compete in each event and nearly 700 participants are set to perform.

July 5th

TROOPER BASEBALL / 2012 WYO RODEO WEEK BEGINS SATURDAY

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 33-8 after play at the Black Hills classic tournament in Rapid City.

They won their first game lost two Monday and cam back to win twice on Tuesday.

Next up for the Troops is a road double header in Cody Sunday, then a conference game Tuesday in Casper before coming home next Wednesday to host two with Spearfish, South Dakota.

Our next live broadcast of Trooper baseball will be that Spearfish double header next Wednesday the first pitch will be tossed out at 5:00 live on 14-10 KWYO.
