TROOPERS HEAD TO STATE / BRONC FOOTBALL ONE WEEK AWAY

Troopers 49-9 open the state tournament Wednesday

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers beat Powell 14-7 Saturday to win the north district tournament.

They led 9-7 going into the 9th inning and scored five runs to put the game away Lucas Giesey got the win, Drew Adriaens pitched the last three innings in relief.

The Troops take their 49-9 record into state tournament play Wednesday in Casper they face Laramie as their first round opponent at 12:30.

TROOPERS PLAY IN DISTRICT SEMI FINALS / SHS FALL SPORTS TIMELINE

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers advanced to the district tournament semi finals with an 18-2 win over Riverton Wednesday day.

Head coach Ben Phillips says it was exactly the type of start they needed.

Cameron Harnish went the distance on the mound giving up only two earned runs, he scattered eight hits and had eight strikeouts Phillips says Harnish was outstanding and really set the tone for the game early.

The Sheridan Troopers blew out Riverton 18-3 Wednesday to advance in the winners bracket the district tournament in Powell.

TROOPERS FACE RIVERTON TODAY IN DISTRICT TOURNEY OPENER

SHERIDAN TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Trooper baseball team opens their district tournament in Powell today at 4:00 there has been a change in the bracket, the Troops were informed yesterday they will play Riverton in their first round game today instead of Lovell.

TROOPERS SET SINGLE SEASON WIN RECORD

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers swept a double header in Miles City, Montana Monday night and in the process set a new record for victories in a season they end the regular season at 44-9 which included and unbeaten record in conference play.

They beat Miles City 12-10 and 5-2 Josh Loseke got the win in relief in the first game and Kalvin Eisenach got the win in the second game.

August 4th--football parent/player meeting 4 pm in the SHS auditorium 9-12 grade players and parents

August 6th—first day of practice for football, 7 am, 9-12 grade

August 13th—first day of practice for all other fall sports (Volleyball, Golf, Girls swimming, Cross country, Tennis)

August 18th SHS Booster Club Shootout Golf Scramble Noon at the Powder Horn, 4 person shotgun start, including meal and coaches program

August 22nd SHS Booster club annual fall BBQ 5:30 pm at high school followed by fall sports parent meeting at 7 pm in Auditorium

BIG HORN POLO CLUB MATCH RESULTS

There were two tournament finals played on Sunday at the BHEC The Photo Imaging Cup and the Cloud Peak Bowl.

In the Photo Imaging Cup, Sheridan Seed Co. defeated Big Horn Beverage 9-6.

MVP, sponsored as always by Kiwi Katering, was Julie Nicholson for Sheridan
Seed Co.

Best Playing Pony was "Peek-a-Boo", owned and played by Paul Wollenman of Big Horn Beverage.

TROOPERS REACH ALL-TIME WIN RECORD / BRONCOS OPEN PRESEASON CAMP

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers swept a double header from Riverton Sunday they blew out the Raiders 21-0 in the first game.

The Troops batted around twice in the bottom of the first inning scoring 12 runs, in the second inning they sent 13 men to the plate and scored nine more the game was called in the 3rd inning because of the 20 run rule.

Schiller Murphy was the starting pitcher he face ten batters and gave up no hits our walks and struck out two.
