THE SHERIDAN BRONCS HAVE THEIR NEXT HEAD BASKETBALL COACH

BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Bronc basketball program has a new Head coach as Bronc assistant Gale Smith takes over for Mike Ibach who resigned last month.

Smith has been a teacher and coach in District two for the last 17 years and was an assistant coach under Ibach for the last six we sat down yesterday at Sheridan high to visit with the new Head coach.

Since Smith has been in the program for the last six seasons he says it will be a smooth transition for the returning players.

TRACK AND FIELD / COWBOY JOE / TROOPER BASEBALL COLLEGE SIGNEE

TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams hosted the "Gary Benson" Memorial Border War track meet yesterday. The Broncs Micheal Rotellini won two events with winning times in the 800 and 1600 meters.

Saturday Sheridan high school hosts the annual "Dan Hansen" track invitational events will get underway at 10:00.

SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams have more conference action this week. The Broncs play in Laramie and Cheyenne South while the Lady Broncs host the Plainsmen and Bison.

THREE FROM SHERIDAN COUNTY RUN IN BOSTON

Three Sheridan county runners competed in the Boston marathon Monday. Del Acker and Curt Schwamb from Sheridan and Keri McMeans from Dayton.

Acker ran a time of 3:52:49, Schwamb ran the course in 2:58:07 and McMeans finished in a time of 3:58:47.

Bison Stats From Big Weekend Soccer Wins

Buffalo's boys' soccer team posted some big wins last week, beating Douglas, Newcastle and Torrington to finish the week with three wins and an overall record of 8-0-1 and remain atop the 3A rankings at number one.

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK AND FIELD TODAY

TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams host the "Gary Benson" Memorial Border War track meet today.

Teams from Billings will join the Casper Natrona, Kelly Walsh, Gillette, Cody and at Homer Scott stadium events begin at 2:00.

Sheridan Head track coach Art Bauers says it's great to have this meet to honor a great Sheridan educator and coach Gary Benson.

Saturday Sheridan high school hosts the Annual "Dan Hansen" track invitational events will get underway at 10:00.

RAPID CITY --- T he national signing period for college basketball has begun, the South Dakota School of Mines men's basketball team is off to a great start as head coach Jason Henry is pleased to announce the addition of Stephen Yellowtail to the Hardrockers' roster for next year.

Bison, Lady Bison Post Big Wins In Weekend Soccer Games

Buffalo's Bison and Lady Bison soccer teams had big wins in all of their weekend matches, defeating their counterparts from Newcastle and Torrington.

Friday, the Bison hosted Newcastle and shut them out 8-0.

Kalob Rodriguez scored twice for Buffalo in the game.

Saturday the boys traveled to Torrington and downed the Trailblazers 7-1.

The Lady Bison were on the road at Newcastle Friday and whipped the Lady Dogies 7-0.

Caley Stafford had three goals for Buffalo in that game.

Satruday the girls hosted Torrington and beat them by a score of 7-0.
