December 13th

THE AD SPEAKS / LOCAL SPORTS WEEKEND PREVIEW

SHS SPORTS / ACTIVITIES - The winter sports season will go on break next week then after the first of the year the season gets into full swing with the start of indoor track, yesterday we caught up with Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian.

The fall season was full of successes their weren't as many state title as they always strive for but high school sports success can't be measured just through winning titles.

Buffalo, Kaycee High School Sports Weekend Preview 12/14

All of Buffalo and Kaycee High School's winter sports teams will be competing this weekend.

The Bison basketball team, 3-1 on the season and ranked No. 2 this week after their loss to 4A Riverton last week, will be at the Flaming Gorge Tournament in Green River today, Friday and Saturday.

The Lady Bison, also 3-1 on the season, will be in Green River this weekend as well.

BIG HORN'S MCGUIRE NAMED SHRINE BOWL HEAD COACH / LOCAL SPORTS WEEK FULL OF ACTION

BH RAMS FOOTBALL - Big Horn Head football coach Micheal McGuire has been named as the head coach for the north team for this summer's Wyoming Shrine bowl football game.

McGuire led the rams to a 9-1 record in his first year with the Rams he previously coached in the Shrine bowl back in 2008 when he led Riverside to a state title. The Shrine bowl is played in Casper the first Saturday in J

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams will play at the Flaming Gorge classic tournament in Green River 32 teams play in the annual event.

GENERALS WIN / ANOTHER GOOD LOCAL SPORTS WEEK IS COMING

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Broncs and Lady Broncs will play at the Flaming Gorge classic tournament in Green River this week 32 teams from Wyoming , Utah and Colorado will play in the annual event.

Thursday the Lady Broncs open with Star Valley at 3:15 and the Broncs face Union high school from Roosevelt Utah at 6:45 both games can be heard live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM.

The Broncs are 1-2 on the season Head coach Gale Smith says the season is just starting for the Broncs and is looking for the team to take a big step in getting better this week.

WEEKEND LOCAL SPORTS WRAP UP

BRONCS / LADY BRONCS - The Broncs and Lady Broncs split their games Saturday against Riverton the Lady Broncs had no problem running their record to 3-0 cruising the the victory 58-21 Head coach Sean Yeager.

They've only played three games most of their opponents have six games already but that changes with week as they play three games in Green River at the Flaming Gorge classic.

The Broncs lost 72-58 Head coach Gale Smith says the learning process continues for his young Bronc

SHERIDAN SHOOTERS BRING HOME SOME HARDWARE

The 6th Grade Sheridan Shooters went 3-2 on the weekend and took second place in the Billings Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament over the weekend. In the picture is

SHERIDAN RAMPAGE HOOP CHAMPS

The Sheridan Rampage won the 7th grade boys' division in the Billings Holiday Classic 5-on-5 basketball tournament on December 9th.

They defeated the Bozeman Scorpions in the championship game 46-37.

Johnson County Weekend Sports Wrap

Athletes at Buffalo and Kaycee High Schools were in competition this weekend and most had a good weekend overall.

The Bison boys' and girls' basketball teams hosted the 4A Riverton Wolverines Friday night and the varsity teams split their games.

LOCAL BASKETBALL ACTION (FRIDAY) SHS AND SC HOME TODAY

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs and Lady Broncs play Riverton at home today the girls varsity game will tip at 2:00 followed by the boys at 3:30 both games will be broadcast live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams both play at home today against Northwest college at 3:00 and 5:00.

TR BASKETBALL - The TR Eagles and Lady Eagles played at Rocky Mountain Friday. The Lady Eagles are 4-0 after a 53-33 victory, the Eagles lost their game against the Grizzlies 68-49. Both teams host games with Riverside today
