November 14th

SC BASKETBALL / COWBOYS IN ACTION TONIGHT

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball team are preparing for another weekend of tournament games.

The Lady Generals are coming off a three game trip to Colorado Springs and will host a two day event Friday and Saturday Head coach Frank McCarthy says the games in Colorado Springs did them a lot of good.

They will host a tournament this weekend sponsored by the McCoy Agency of Sheridan.

LADY BRONCS LOOK TO CONTEND IN 2012-13

LADY BRONC HOOPS - The high school winter sports season got started yesterday. The Lady Broncs took the court first after school Head coach Sean Yeager says they are under the gun getting ready for the regular season opener on the 30th.

And Yeager says the 30th isn't far off and they need to be ready as soon as possible for the opener.

They return the core of the team especially in the back court and Yeager says they expect a very good season is coming for the Lady Broncs.

November 12th

STATE FOOTBALL / FALL SPORTS BEGIN / UW HOOPS AND FOOTBALL

WYOMING CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL - State championship football games finished up the fall sports season over the weekend Dubois took the 6-man title beating Snake River 54-30, Southeast beat Lusk for the 1-A championship 40-6.

Lyman beat Lovell 22-20 in the 2-A game, Powell beat Star Valley 13-10 to win the 3-A title and the
4-A title went to Natrona county the Mustangs crushed Gillette 35-7.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The high school winter sports season starts after school today the Sheridan Bronc basketball team takes the court with new Head coach Gale Smith.

November 10th

STATE FOOTBALL WEEKEND WRAPS UP TODAY

STATE FOOTBALL - It's state championship football Saturday the 2-A title will start the day off at 10:00 followed by the 1-A final and 4-A championship at 4:00.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The high school winter sports season starts after school Monday the Sheridan Bronc basketball team will have a new coach taking over as the new season begins. Longtime Bronc assistant coach Gale Smith takes over this year.

The Lady Broncs open their season Monday as well Sean Yeager is back as the Lady Broncs head coach.

November 9th

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL / 2012 WINTER SPORTS BEGIN MONDAY

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL - It's state championship football weekend in Laramie and for the 4th consecutive year it looks like snow will be in the forecast.

The 6-Man and 3-A state title games will be played today with temperatures in the 50's. That changes tomorrow with snow and temps in the low 20's as the 2-A title will start the day off at 10:00 followed by the 1-A final and 4-A championship at 4:00.

November 8th

SC HOOPS/ HIGH SCHOOL WINTER SPORTS / ROCKIES NEW MANAGER

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams are out on the road this week the Lady Generals open a three game tournament today at the Air Force Academy.

Next week they are back in Sheridan hosting a two day tournament

The Generals will play at a tournament at the College of Southern Idaho this weekend. Their first opponent will be the 12th ranked team in the country Monroe college of Brooklyn, New York.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS TAKE TO THE ROAD

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Lady Generals are 3-0 and now head out on the road this week to a tournament at the Air Force academy the event starts tomorrow and wraps up Saturday.

Head coach Frank McCarthy says after struggling to play well in their first two games the players took a big step in the right direction during their win Monday night.

November 6th

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS POST VICTORIES

SHERIDAN COLLEGE HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams swept victories from Rock y Mountain college at the Hoffman dome Monday night.

The Lady Generals are 3-0 after blasting Rocky 97-34 five players scored in double figures with freshmen Josie Three Irons from Hardin leading the way with 21.

The Lady Generals now head out on the road this week to a tournament at the Air Force academy. Next week they return home for another tournament then host the Lions club tournament during Thanksgiving weekend.

November 5th

LOCAL FOOTBALL SEASON ENDS / BASKETBALL BEGINS

PLAYOFF FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams dropped a heart breaker to Lovell in their semi final game Friday in Big Horn.

The Rams led until the 5:43 mark in the 4th quarter when Lovell took a 29-28 lead, the Rams had three chances with the ball in the closing minutes but couldn't mount a comeback.

They end the season 9-1 overall and the north 2-A regular season title.

November 3rd

BRONCS / RAMS FALL IN SEMI FINALS

RAM FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams football season ended Saturday with a tough 29-28 loss against Lovell in the 2-A semi finals.

The Rams led most of the way but Lovell hung tough and took the lead with 5:43 to play and held off a late Big Horn comeback attempt to win it.

Lovell will play Lyman for the 2-A state title next Saturday in Laramie.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs held a 3-0 lead after one quarter in Gillette but two Bronc fumbles were turned into Camel touchdowns in the 2nd quarter and the Broncs never recovered.
