October 10th

Weekend Preview For Buffalo, Kaycee High School Sports

Weekend sports action for Johnson County's high school athletes will get underway today.

Buffalo's volleyball team will be on the road tonight at Newcastle with matches scheduled at 4 and 5pm, and the girls will then travel to Worland Friday to take on the Lady Warriors with matches at 5 and 6pm.

LADY BRONC SWIMMING / DIVING POST SEASON SET TO BEGIN

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Sheridan Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will be in Riverton Thursday for start of the north conference championships Head coach Brent Moore says they have a lot of confidence in the pool after finishing up the regular season with two dual wins last Friday.

Nine girls have already qualified for the state championships and they have a few more with a very good chance to make this week.

REGIONAL SWIMMING / DIVING AND X-COUNTRY / BIG CONFERENCE FOOTBALL GAMES

FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs are 5-2 as they head into a road game at Casper Kelly Walsh Friday it's not only a big game for the Broncs but big as well for the Trojans as both teams try to move up in playoff seeding.

We will broadcast the game for you live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio the First Federal pregame show will start at 6:30 with kickoff at 7:00.

The Tongue River Eagles and Big Horn Rams meet in their conference showdown Friday afternoon in Dayton.

WEEKEND LOCAL SPORTS ROUNDUP

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs blew out Laramie Friday night 49-6. The Broncs scored on the first play of the game and would score in seven straight possessions, Junior Daniel Sessions scored six touchdowns Head coach Don Julian.

And Julian pleased with the effort on a tough night battling weather conditions.

The Broncs have two games to play in the regular season and must win both to pick up the third seed in the playoffs. They will play at Casper Kelly Walsh Friday night.

Johnson County Weekend Sports Wrap For October 8

This past weekend was busy for Johnson County's high school athletes.

It was Homecoming Week at Buffalo High School, and the football team didn't disappoint the home crowd as they took down the Lander Tigers 14-8 in a sloppy game in miserably cold and snowy conditions Friday night.

Daniel Sessions six touchdowns vs Laramie

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs blew out Laramie Friday night 49-6. The Broncs scored on the first play of the game and would score in seven straight possessions, Junior Daniel Sessions scored six touchdowns.

The Broncs will play at Casper Kelly Walsh next week.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles ran the opening kickoff back for a touchdown in their homecoming game Friday but that would be all they get as Newcastle would go on to win the game 48-6.

The Broncs are 4-2 heading into the game with Laramie tonight the Plainsmen are 1-5.

The Broncs are coming off a last second loss to Gillette and Head coach Don Julian says the players and coaches went back to work this week to shake off that loss and get ready for Laramie.

Homecoming And More For Buffalo, Kaycee Athletes

This is Homecoming Week at Buffalo High School, and Thursday is busy at BHS.

The Bison cross country team will host their invite which gets underway with the middle schoolers at 2pm and high schoolers at 3pm this afternoon at BHS.

The freshman football team will host Sheridan today at 4:30.

October 2nd

HOMECOMING WEEK FOR SHERIDAN AND TONGUE RIVER

SWIMMING AND DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will host a meet with Riverton and Cody and it will be the Lady Bronc's last home action of their season.

Head coach Brent Moore says it's going to be a big day for the Lady Broncs Friday. And he says they've had a great year so far and are looking forward to a strong finish.

The numbers in the program have really grown as 25 girls are in pool this year and Moore says that has been a huge factor in the team's success this fall.
