Lady Bronc Senior basketball player verbally commits to Cowgirls

Tuesday Lady Bronc Senior Hailey Logocki verbally committed to play basketball for the Wyoming Cowgirls.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE HOOPS / BIG HORN PLAYOFF FOOTBALL PREVIEW

SC BASKETBALL - The 2012-13 local basketball season opens this weekend with the Sheridan college teams in action.

The Lady Generals open this weekend hosting a two day tournament with Western Wyoming and teams from Fort Carson and Air Force Prep the Lady Generals play Friday night at 7:30 and Saturday afternoon at 3:00

The Generals open at a tournament in Gillette Friday they play Western Nebraska and Air Force prep.

Head coach Steve Smiley says they have several good home match-ups coming over the next several
weeks.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS OPEN THE HOOPS SEASON THIS WEEKEND

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - The 2012-13 local basketball season opens this weekend with the Sheridan college teams in action.

Both the Generals and Lady Generals have gone over an overhaul with several new members to each roster.

Lady Generals Head coach Frank McCarthy says his new freshmen have made the adjustment to playing the college game.

And he says the team make up has a good mix of players that bring different strengths to the team.

STATE VOLLEYBALL / SWIMMING RESULTS / RAMS AND BRONCS ADVANCE TO FB SEMI FINALS

STATE SWIMMING / DIVING - At the 4-A state swimming and diving championships the Sheridan Lady Broncs finished 6th, Gretchen Dougherty all-stated in the 100 butterfly finishing 3rd.

STATE VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams finished 2nd at the state volleyball tournament they lost in the title match to Thermopolis in three matches.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles were eliminated from the tournament Saturday morning in the consolation bracket., their season ended with a loss against Wright in the consolation semi final.

STATE SWIMMING / VOLLEYBALL / PLAYOFF FOOTBALL

STATE SWIMMING / DIVING - The 4-A state swimming and diving championships concluded Friday the Sheridan Lady Broncs finished 6th, Gretchen Dougherty All-stated in the 100 butterfly finishing 3rd.

STATE VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams will play Lovell Saturday afternoon for the 2-A state championship. The Lady Rams beat Thermopolis in thee games in the semi finals Friday night.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles staved off elimination beating Kemmerer Friday, they face Wright today for the right to move on and play for 3rd / 4th place.

Sheridan won a great game against Kelly Walsh 35 to 14 and are in the state semi-finals!! Stand by for all the details from Sheridan Media!

LADY RAMS STATE VOLLEYBALL SEMI FINALS TONIGHT

The Big Horn Lady Rams won easily over Kemmerer in their first round of tournament action last night in Casper at the 2A State Tournament, (25-14), (25-10), (25-21).

The Lady Rams advance into the semi-finals tonight at 6 pm and take on Thermopolis.

STATE SWIMMING FINALS / STATE VOLLEYBALL DAY TWO / PLAYOFF FOOTBALL

STATE SWIMMING AND DIVING - The 4-A state swimming and diving championships conclude today in Gillette as the finals begin today when teams begin to accumulate points.

STATE VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams the Tongue River Lady Eagles opened the state volleyball tournament last night in Casper.

The Lady Rams advanced to the semi finals while Tongue River lost, the Lady Eagles face an elimination match this afternoon.

They lost a five set match against Thermopolis while Big Horn took their match with Kemmerer in three games.

PLAYOFF FOOTBALL / STATE VOLLEYBALL / SWIMMING AND DIVING

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS - The Sheridan Broncs host Casper Kelly Walsh tomorrow night in the first round of the 4-A playoffs.

We will have the game for you live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio. The First Federal pregame show will start at 6:30 with kickoff at 7:00

The Broncs and Trojans played two weeks ago in Casper with the Broncs coming out on top 20-10 in a hard fought battle now they meet again tomorrow night Broncs Head coach Don Julian says it's just the way life is in 4-A football.

Jo Co High School Weekend Sports Preview

The fall high school sports seasons are nearing their end with playoffs and state competitions this weekend.

This afternoon the Kaycee Lady Bucs will begin their state tournament with a first round match against Little Snake River. That match is set for 6pm.
