August 23rd

BRONC GOLFERS WIN AGAIN

GOLF - The Bronc golfers win their 21st consecutive tournament winning the Buffalo Invitational Tuesday.

The Broncs took the team title by 54 shots Kamrin Allen was the overall medalist with rounds of 68 and 69.

Chris Cremer was 3rd, Cole Smith was 5th and Jack Mavarakis was 7th, Big Horn Ram Bryce Williams finished in the top ten in 6th place.

The top finisher for the Lady Broncs was Hillary Lindell she finished 6th overall.

This week the Broncs and Lady Broncs will play at tournaments Friday and Saturday in Powell and Cody.

2011 SPORTS SEASON OPENS FOR ALL TEAMS THIS WEEK

BIG HORN FOOTBALL - Nine Tongue River football players have joined to play with Big Horn high school since their season was called off last week.

Eagle's assistant coach Colter Brantz is in charge of helping make the transition smooth for the Eagles players.

Friday is zero week for Big Horn as the Rams will play their exhibition at Thermopolis.

Head coach Bert Dow says not only do they have several new faces on the varsity roster this year in the last few days they've added the Tongue River kids as well.

Bison Golf Team Opens Strong at Wheatland

The Buffalo Bison Golf Team began their season at the Wheatland Invitational on August 18 and 19.
Teams from Buffalo, Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East, Wheatland, Torrington, Douglas and Rawlins played in the tournament.
According to Coach Chad Rose, the Bison boys had a 5 stroke lead after the first day with a score of 342 and improved 10 strokes to 332 the second day to win the tournament.

August 22nd

Bison Golfers Open Season, Other Sports to Follow This Week

The Bison Golf Team opened their season last Thursday and Friday at the Wheatland Invite, and we'll have results as they become available.
Today and Tuesday the golf team will host their Buffalo Invite at the Buffalo Golf Club, and the team will then play in the Sheridan Invite this Friday and Saturday.

Tongue River Junior high football information

The Tongue River Middle School boys will start football practice Monday, Aug. 22, 8:00-10:00 am.

There will be a parent meeting August 30th immediately following practice (6:00 pm)

Big Horn Junior high Football and Volleyball Info

Big Horn Middle School football for 7th and 8th graders will begin on Monday the 22nd at 6 pm, and that Big Horn Middle School volleyball, grades 6-8, will begin on Monday the 22nd at 9 am.

All student athletes need to bring a copy of their physical exams to the first practice.

Bison Golf Coach: Experience, Youth Good Combination

The Buffalo High School Golf Team will open their season this week at the Wheatland Invite, and Coach Chad Rose said the team has been working hard this summer to prepare for the upcoming season, and he is excited to see how his athletes perform.

He tells us more about the team.

Spencer and Wright have a combined seven seasons of Varsity Golf between spring and fall seasons and have a lot of tournament experience, Rose siad. Spade and Nick Lulias have had a great summer and Rose expects good seasons from both athletes.

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS OPENS 2011 IN A WEEK

BRONC / LADY BRONC TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams have been on the court for three days head coach Bob Faurot says it's been a good week so far.

Most of the players had plenty of opportunities to play during the summer and that has some in pretty good form already.

The Lady Bronc lost their number one doubles team to graduation but the rest of the team remains intact and Faurot says the Lady Broncs are looking ahead to a good season.

Sheridan youth competes in the National Hersey track meet

Sheridan's Brock Bomar ran in Hershey, PA on August 6. He did really well finishing 7th in the 200, running it in 31.47. His best time was 31.06 which would have moved him up to 6th.
