ANOTHER BIG WEEKEND OF LOCAL SPORTS BEGINS FRIDAY

Bronc Senior Issac Carrel Signs to play college baseball today

TROOPER BASEBALL SIGNING - Sheridan high school senior Issac Carrell will sign a letter of intent today to play baseball for McCook college in Nebraska.

Carrell is a starter on the Bronc basketball team and will step out of basketball mode for a few minutes today and turn to baseball to sign his letter of intent to play this fall at McCook.

Carrell says the prospect of playing college ball has been a goal of his for a long time.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE SPLITS WITH NORTHWEST

Generals guard Matt Glover hit for a game high 26 points

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - The Lady Generals had a tough night hitting baskets while Northwest shot over 60 percent in the first half building up a 30 point lead and cruising to an 87-67 win.

Lady Generals Head coach Frank McCarthy says they just had one of those night's where not much went their way.

They are now 1-1 in north sub region play and have two more sub region games at home this weekend. And McCarthy says both Miles City and Glendive have pretty good teams.

Bison swimmers excel at Cheyenne Meet

The Buffalo Bison Swim Team traveled to Cheyenne last weekend, competing against a number of 3A and 4A schools both Friday and Saturday.

BRONC SWIMMERS HIT MID-SEASON

BRONC SWIMMING / DIVING - The Sheridan Bronc swimmers and divers have four regular season events left on the schedule until the post season begins Head coach Larry White says they have hit an important stretch in their season.

Seniors Nick Groshart and Taylor Speigelberg have already qualified for the state championships in multiple events and a few more are getting close.

Big Horn beats Tongue RIver in first meeting of the season

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs lost at Billings Skyview Friday night but came back to win a double over time thriller against Natrona county Saturday.

The Broncs are 9-3 overall after beating the Mustangs 68-61 in double overtime Head coach Mike Ibach.

Conference play begins this week with games at Laramie and Kelly Walsh and Ibach says they had a good first half and have two big games this weekend.

Bison Sports Wrap

The Buffalo Bison sports teams were in action this weekend, with the basketball teams posting some convincing wins and the wrestling team competing in Montana and coming home with one individual champion from the tournament.

Broncs win a double overtime thriller against Natrona county 68-61.

The Lady Broncs faced Natrona County also. They won by a score of 74-46.

FRIDAY NIGHT LOCAL SPORTS ACTION

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams split games Friday night. The Lady Broncs beat Billings Skyview 71-30 to stay unbeaten at 11-0.

Kayla Woodward had 22 points to lead the way the Lady Broncs play at Natrona county today at 2:45 you can hear that game live on 95.9 FM.

The Broncs lost at Billings Skyview last night 59-47 Dex Currington had 18 points to lead the Broncs Riley Ryan had 14. The Broncs host NC today at 4:30 that game will also be broadcast live on 95.9 FM.

Tonight the Broncs face the Billings Falcons. Billings win against the broncs 59-47. The Lady Broncs face Billings Sky-view.The Lady Broncs win 71-30.
