November 22nd

GENERALS AND LADY GENERALS PLAY AT HOME THIS WEEKEND

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals are 7-0 the Lady Generals are 6-1 as they are the host teams for this week's annual Sheridan Lions club Thanksgiving basketball classic at the Hoffman dome.

Four games will be play Friday and Saturday games will be played at 1:00, 3:00, 5:00 and 7:00 the Lady Generals will play at 5:00 and the Generals at 7:00 both days.

All day passes will be sold at the door proceeds go to the Sheridan Lions club for their local eye glasses program.

POST SEASON HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL HONORS

Jordan Roberts 4-A offensive player of the year

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL POST SEASON AWARDS - The Sheridan Broncs had three players make the Casper Star Tribune's Super 25 list last week and add more honors this week.

The Broncs went 11-1 and won the 4-A football title and the post season honors keep rolling in as the Broncs have several players on the all 4-A team this year it also includes three player of the year awards.

Senior Running Back Jordan Roberts make the all state list as was also named the 4-A Offensive player of the year that was a unanimous selection by the 4-A coaches.

November 18th

Black Mountain Nordic Club meeting

We are holding our fall meeting Monday November 21st in the Fulmer Room (upstairs) at the Sheridan Co. Fulmer Public Library, 6:00PM.

Every two years we need to elect or re-elect officers and board members for the club. If you would like to be involved in the decision making of the club please attend.

We took up most of the equipment on the mountain last weekend. There is 6-12” of snow around the trail heads with a bunch more predicted in the next couple days.

We will probably start packing the trails this weekend.

FALL SPORTS SUCCESS AT SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS - The fall sports season ended last week and it was tremendous with a Broncs golf state championship and Lady Bronc volleyball title and the Broncs big win in the state football title game last week.Sheridan high school Activities Director and Head football coach Don Julian.

It hasn't been quite a week since the Broncs won the school's 23rd state football title and Julian says it's starting to sink in and every state title should be celebrated.

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL PREVIEW

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - We made a stop to Sheridan high school yesterday to look into the Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball practices and talked with the coaches as they get ready for the season opener December 2nd against Green River.

Sean Yeager enters his first year as the Head coach of the Lady Bronc program and year after they made it to the 4-A title game losing in overtime to Gillette.

The Lady Broncs have three starters back and Yeager says they have started well this week.

2012 FOOTBALL SCHEDULES

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Wyoming high school activities association has released the 2012 high school football schedule.

The defending champion Sheridan Broncs will open on the road at Cheyenne Central next fall.

The schedule will feature five home games and four road games they will play road games at Central, Cheyenne South, Rock Springs and Kelly Walsh the home dates will be Natrona county in week two other home games will have them hosting Evanston, Gillette, Laramie and Cheyenne East.

FOOTBALL COACHES DOW AND HALL RESIGN FROM BIG HORN HIGH SCHOOL

Bert Dow resigned as Big Horn football coach Monday night

BIG HORN HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS - Sheridan Media's Brad Estes attended the Sheridan county school district one board meeting last night, the board went into executive session for two hours.

Following that Superintendent Marty Kobza announced the resignations of football coaches Bert Dow and Wayne Hall.

Dow and Hall admitted to playing an inappropriate practical joke on some players earlier in the football season for which they apologized to the board and the public Monday night. Dow spoke to the nearly 30 people at the meeting.

BRONCS WIN 2011 4-A STATE FOOTBALL TITLE

BRONCS WIN IT ALL

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs won their second 4-A state football title in the last three years and 23rd overall taking down Cheyenne East 44-14 in the championship game Saturday night in Laramie.

Senior Jordan Roberts was as usual spectacular self rushing for 287 yards and four touchdowns as the Broncs built a 28-7 halftime lead.

Roberts went 29 yards on the first play of the game then Kevin Bakkehaug found Riley Ryan on a screen pass on the next play and the Broncs were out the gate.

November 12th

Wyoming Cowboys vs Air Force & Cowboys v/s Western State Basketball

Wyoming Cowboys defeated Air Force 25 to 17 In Football Saturday afternoon.
Wyoming Cowboy Basketball opened there season with a 78 to 39 Victory over Western State (Colo)at the AA.
