September 17th

Friday, Sept. 18th

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs take a 2-1 record on the road tonight at Rock Springs. The Tigers are 0-3, and head coach Don Julian says Rock Springs will look familiar to the Broncs; the Tigers have turned the ball over a lot in their three losses, but Julian says they can break out of that any time. He adds that the Broncs must be ready for a fired-up opponent tonight.

Thursday, Sept. 17th

SHS VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team hopes to get some positive results on the road this weekend in Cheyenne. They play at Central tomorrow and East Saturday, and they feel confident they can start to turn the season around. Next week, the Lady Broncs will play at the Casper Invitational tournament.

Wednesday, Sept. 16th

WYO HS FOOTBALL RANKINGS - The 4-A football rankings got a shuffle this week after the Sheridan Broncs beat previous #1 Green River last Friday. The Broncs have now moved up two spots from #5 to #3 this week.

September 14th

Tuesday, Sept. 15th

HS GOLF - The Sheridan Bronc varsity golfers finished up the 2-day McDonalds Invitational tournament in Kingsport, Tennessee yesterday. As a team, the Broncs finished 13th overall. Yesterday, Kamrin Allen led the way in the final round with a score of 78; Cameron Lindell shot 79; Taylor Speigelberg shot 82; Toby Nicholas 83 and Taylor Reed 84.

September 13th

Monday, Sept. 14th

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs beat #1 Green River 34-21 Friday night. The Broncs led 27-0 at halftime and stretched the lead to 34-7 by the end of the 3rd quarter. One of the big keys to the win was the play of the offensive line. The Broncs are now 2-1 on the season, and will be on the road this week as they travel to play at Rock Springs.

September 11th

Saturday, Sept. 12th

HS FOOTBALL – The Sheridan Broncs beat #1 Green River 34-21 Friday night. The Broncs led 27-0 at halftime and stretchd the lead to 34-7 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Bronc quarterback Austin Woodward ran for 116 yards. The Broncs now are 2-1 and play on the road at Rock Springs next week.

September 10th

Friday, Sept. 11th

BH / TR VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams beat the Tongue River Lady Eagles in volleyball action last night in Dayton. The Lady Rams took the match in three games; both teams get right back into it as Big Horn hosts their own invitational tournament this weekend.

September 9th

Thursday, Sept. 10th

TR / BH VOLLEYBALL - The local sports week begins tonight in Dayton with the Tongue River Lady Eagles hosting the Big Horn Lady Rams in a big volleyball rival match-up; the varsity game is scheduled to get under way at 7:30. Big Horn will host their own tournament this weekend when Tongue River is scheduled to compete with the Lady Rams.

09/09/09 Sports for Wednesday

SHS SWIMMING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers didn't win their dual in Laramie this past Friday, but they did get some good results. The highlight of the meet was getting three more State Meet qualifiers. Tomorrow they have a dual in Gillette, and once again this fall Gillette's team is very strong.

HS FOOTBALL - The Sheridan county football teams went 1-3 this past week, the week started with Big Horn losing to Greybull 7-6 Thursday night the Rams were stopped twice on first and goal opportunities in the 1st half the rams Play at Burns Friday.

The Tongue River Eagles dropped an 18-8 decision against Hulett Friday the Eagles play at Glenrock Friday night.
