RODEO WEEK - Slack steer roping started at 7 o'clock this morning in the Main Arena at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. There will be parimutuel betting on the steer roping today. This afternoon they will hold the annual Bob King Memorial Team Roping. Tomorrow, along with more steer roping, there will also be tie down roping, team roping and steer wrestling slack beginning at 7 am.

The boot kickoff in Kendrick park gets things rolling tonight all the fun starts at 5.The WYO carnival opens tomorrow at 5pm. Thursday night is kids night at the first performance all kids 12 and under get in free with a paying adult (general admission only).

WYO rodeo week is here as the 79th addition of the WYO gets rolling with slack steer roping Wednesday morning at 7 o'clock in the afternoon they will have the “Bob King” memorial team roping.

The 4th of July gives way to Sheridan WYO rodeo week.

DENVER (AP) - Pinch-hitter Chris Young hit a tie-breaking, three-run double in the eighth inning, helping the Arizona Diamondbacks rally for an 11-7 win over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday night. Stephen Drew finished a single shy of the cycle and Mark Reynolds hit a solo homer as the Diamondbacks snapped a three-game skid.

The Sheridan Jets will play during the 4th of July weekend the Troopers are off until a road trip to Casper Tuesday. Tomorrow the Jets will play a team from Rapid City at 2 o'clock and Sunday they play at 11 am.

The large thunder storm that rolled through the area last night rained out the Sheridan troopers double header with Cody last next up for the troops a road double header Monday at Casper.

The Sheridan jets will spend the weekend at home they host double headers Saturday and Sunday with teams from Rapid City game time Saturday is 2 o'clock and 11 o'clock Sunday morning.

The Sheridan Troopers have a home double header tonight against the Cody subs the first pitch will be tossed out at 5 o'clock. The Sheridan Jets will play two dates at home this weekend with games Saturday and Sunday with teams from Rapid City games Saturday will start at 2 o'clock and Sunday morning at 11 am.
