Schlegel on Bartender Scores an 83

The 84th running of the Sheridan WYO Rodeo had Jerad Schlegel of Burns CO riding Bartender for 8-seconds and a score of 83. It was the first rough-stock event, bareback riding, of the evening rodeo events that started on Wednesday evening. Header Kobold Casts Loop

During Wednesday morning's Rodeo Slack Team Roping "header" Miles Kobold from Billings MT, formerly a Big Horn resident, casts a pink loop over the head of his steer as his "healer" Doug Cox from Gillette and formerly a Sheridan resident gets ready to throw his loop under the steer's hind legs.

No Slack for Garstad at Rodeo Slack

Wednesday morning's Rodeo Slack didn't give Sheridan WYO Rodeo President & Arena Director Zane Garstad (on the left) any slack. Zane started his long day of the long rodeo week doing some "untying" during the tie-down roping rodeo slack event. The first PRCA Rodeo Performance including the World Championship Indian Relay Races starts Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.
