Art Instructor Takes Part in Powell Art Festival

Sheridan College art instructor Tawni Shuler paints “en plein air,” a French expression for painting outdoors, at the 2014 Powell Arts Festival on Saturday. Shuler was among eight artists who painted the downtown Powell area. Shuler teaches a variety of art classes at Sheridan College, including Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking. Locals Give Life to Historical Figures

The Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum hosted the annual Echoes of the Past Cemetery Tours last week at Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo. Locals performed the living history of those who died in the county. This past week a woman of the plains, a mountain man, three pioneers, and three Basque immigrants were portrayed.
