On a windy Saturday the No. 2 Broncs took on the No. 1 Plainsmen from Laramie on Scott Field in Sheridan. The Broncs had their heads in the game, game faces on, legs in the game, a size advantage, some close scoring attempts but the cards just didn't fall their way as Laramie managed to score one near the 5-minute mark of the 1st period to secure the win.

Fireblast 451 Mobile Fire Training Trailer

Representatives from Sheridan Fire-Rescue, Big Horn Fire, Ranchester Fire and Dayton Fire participated in instructor training in the use of the Fireblast 451 ® Mobile Fire Training trailer on Thursday. Trainers from Fireblast 451 ®, the manufacturer of the unit, certified 11 “Fire Control Officers” to conduct live fire training evolutions.

It took just two minutes on Friday evening for Senior Drew Slikker, on senior night, to score his first goal of the season as the 2nd ranked Sheridan Broncs downed the No. 3 Kelly Walsh Trojans on Scott Field - a field that was covered with 3-inches of snow earlier in the day. The win sets up the biggest game of the regular season for the No.

All Aboard - We're Heading South

Despite the winter like weather in Sheridan Jacey Repsis, Hailey Ligocki and the rest of the Lady Broncs boarded the bus Friday morning for the last regular season soccer road trip. The Lady Broncs have a game at Laramie on Saturday at 10:00 & noon. Then it will be the game against KW that was postponed because of the weather until Tuesday at 6:00 pm in Casper.

WYODOT was out in force Thursday morning in their bright yellow convoy of vehicles laying down yellow and white stripes on Coffeen Avenue - just another sure sign that spring has sprung. How long is the typical white dashed line that is being applied? The answer is in the caption of the second photo.

Safe Routes will lead to this new Big Horn School

Thanks to a $200,000 Safe Routes to School project grant, construction of sidewalks and crosswalks near the Big Horn School campus when completed will provide for safer walks to the new Big Horn Elementary School when it is completed. At present the new school appears to be "reaching for the skies" as it emerges from the ground.

Do you long for the days of a drug store soda fountain?

The old Seney's Drug store at 38 S. Main Street in Buffalo, now called the Udder House, may help revive those good old days from the past with a refreshment from their 7-stool soda fountain. Jennifer, seen here behind the counter, served us two sodas and the special of the day, calzone, but they also serve ice cream, fresh pizza, breads, soups and pasta.

Just off of Highway 87 (Piney Creek Road) not far from Fort Phil Kearney stands the old Kearney Hall and these "two houses" just a few steps away but from a by-gone era.
