Whittier Street - Taking Shape

The tarps have been taken off of the new concrete Whittier Street adjacent to the Safeway store. Perhaps soon customers of Safeway will find it easier to get into and out of the parking lot.

Veterans Day Remembered

The auditorium at the Sheridan VA was standing room only Friday morning for a Veterans Day Ceremony that included guest speaker U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis and music from Alton Miller.

Go Broncs

Sheridan fans filled the grandstand last Friday at Scott Field for the playoff game against Campbell County. Now let's fill the stadium at the University of Wyoming for the 4A State Championship Football game on Saturday at 4:00 pm. - the Sheridan Broncs will be taking on the Cheyenne East Thunderbirds.

Ucross Chapel

Dedicated July 1, 2011 this unique stone chapel sits at the heart of the historic Ucross cattle ranch near the junction of Wyoming Highways 14 and 16 in the Park at Ucross.

Last Color of Fall?

Just beyond the foot bridge that connects the east and west portions of Thorne-Rider Park stands this huge cottonwood tree still full of fall color while others nearby are now void of leaves. Wyoming designated the plains cottonwood (Populus sargentii) as the official state tree in 1947.

Last Home Game - Next Stop Laramie

Bronc Seniors Jordan Roberts and Aaron Gray lead the Broncs onto Scott Field for their last home game of the 2011 season to take on the Campbell County Camels Friday night. The winner advances to the 2011 State Championship game in Laramie next week.

Romeo & Juliet with a Modern Look & Twist (updated)

Thursday evening the William Shakespeare Play "Romeo & Juliet" opened the first of four performances presented by the Sheridan High School Drama Club in the Sue Henry Auditorium at Sheridan High School. Director Aaron Odom put forth a more modern look in this performance by telling the story as if teenagers of today were placed in the middle of the feud between the Montagues and the Capulets.
