Presenting the 'Big Check'

Members of the Wyoming Community Foundation, the Sheridan-Johnson Community Foundation, Frackelton's, and Sheridan Media, presented a "big "check" to Executive Director of The Food Group Missi Hubert. Over $14,000 was raised at "The Dining for a Cause" event held at Frackelton's restaurant in Sheridan on September 29.

Model of the USS Thresher in Sheridan

The submarine is a 1/12th scale model of the USS Thresher. The Thresher was 262 feet long. The model is 21 feet long. It is the property of the Submarine Veterans group in Rapid City who pull it around in all parades in the Black Hills. The boat will be parked at the SC Thorne Rider Campus Center Monday and Tuesday and at the VA Clinic next Thursday and Friday.

Old Man G Christmas Wish Benefit Poker Run

Over 100 Bikes showed up for the 2nd Annual Old Man G, Sheridan Media Poker Run to benefit the Christmas Wish Campaign this past Saturday. $1350 was raised for the program that benefits Sheridan area people in need during the holiday season. Riders went through Ucross, Buffalo, Story, Big Horn and back to Sheridan.
