Bring Your Pom-Poms and Your Dreams

Landree Blank brought her blue and gold pom-pons and perhaps some dreams to the Lady Bronc basketball game on Friday evening. She then went down on her own in front of the high school band and cheered while observing the Sheridan Broncs Cheerleaders, imitating their every move - as shown on the right and left side of this photo collage.

As We Look Skyward Today - We Remember

As we look skyward at the fiery sunset of January 28, 2012 we are reminded of what happened 73-seconds after the fiery lift off of the space shuttle Challenger on January 28, 1986. It was on that day of disbelief that many of us watched the shuttle, with seven on board, explode in a forking plume of smoke and fire - there were no survivors.

Rickie Ryan, shown here, gets the turnover and heads the other way where her bucket gave her six points on the day as the #4 ranked Lady Broncs made it look easy as they beat the #5 ranked Lady Thunderbirds from Cheyenne East on Saturday afternoon at home.

Fire & Smoke?

What appeared to be fire and smoke on the Big Horns when looking west at 5:00 pm was actually the sun settling in below the black clouds that brought the rain for your drive home after work on Wednesday. The immediate forecast calls for a repeat tomorrow of what we had today - a slight chance of rain and snow showers in the afternoon but colder with highs in the lower 40s.

Sprucing up the 5th Street Corriodor

Under a beautiful blue Wyoming Sky on a gorgeous day to start the work week Lieuallen Tree Service was busy pruning a large cottonwood - the Wyoming State Tree - on east 5th Street in Sheridan. This large cottonwood, perhaps the largest in the 5th Street Corridor Area that has been in the news recently, sits near the center of the East Fifth Street Corridor Plan.
