One Goal not enough for the Lady Bison

The Buffalo Lady Bison got the first goal in their game against the Cody Fillies in the Championship game on Saturday. Buffalo's Teara Gass kicks the ball over the head of Cody's goalie Laurel Place where Lady Bison's Caley Stafford and Rileigh Olson meet up with the ball that Rileigh kicks in with her left foot. Scroll down to see the whole sequence.

Soccer - a game of inches on a huge field?

The Lady Broncs already knew that a soccer field is huge - today they found out a win on that huge field can come from just a few inches. Somewhere in this play near the goal a hand touches the ball setting up a penalty kick.

Sheridan Leaps KW - but loses shootout

Midway through a scoreless second half Sheridan's Jake Moore takes a high speed pass from Hunter Reece, breaks loose and heads directly toward the goal. As KW's goalie Connor Diller starts to pull in the ball Jake's speed limits his options too; running into the goalie or leaping over him. Jake went for the leap that he cleanly made as shown here. At the end of regulation it was still scoreless.

Pass - Kick - Score - Celebrate - Win

The Sheridan Broncs needed but one Pass, Kick, Score and Celebration to beat the Laramie Plainsmen on Friday in the semi finals - scroll down to see the whole sequence. Hunter Reece passed to Riley Ryan whose kick got past Laramie's goalie Jonathan Miller and in for the score.

Buffalo Could have used this One

The Buffalo Bison sure could have used this call going the other way - instead the official ruled that the ball did not cross the goal line early in the game which Buffalo ended up losing to the Jackson Hole Broncs by a score of 2 to 0. As a result the Bison drop into a game against Lander Valley for third place on Saturday at 11:00 am on Field #2.
