March 24th

Alex Blare - A Flying Big Horn Lady Ram

On Friday morning Lady Ram Senior Alex Blare was among the 14 girls in the Triple Jump at the Jerry Campbell Invite 2012 held at Buffalo High School. In addition to soaring through the blue sky on a beautiful spring day in the triple jump shown here, Alex also participated in the long jump and the 100 meter hurdles. Check back later to see how she did when the official results are posted.

Broncs fall to the Plainsmen

In a high noon showdown between the Sheridan Broncs and the Laramie Plainsmen - the team the Broncs beat for the State Championship last spring - the Plainsmen had a great first 25 minutes scoring two goals. After that a "whole lot of Bronc offense" just couldn't score.

March 23rd

Broncs Remain Perfect

Bronc Senior Jake Moore gets the first goal of the evening as the Sheridan Broncs took on the Cheyenne South Bison on Scott Field in Sheridan. It took the Broncs a few minutes - make that 11 - to get warmed up but then they poured it on as they defeated the Bison by a final score of 9 to 0 to keep their shut-out record perfect at 19 goals to 0 in their first 5 outings of the season.

Spotlight on Spring? Remember You Live in Wyoming!

The spotlight may be on spring as Wyoming Senator Bruce Burns and Marge Johnston try out the lawn chairs in front of Shipton's Big R in Sheridan on Thursday. Perhaps Bruce was filling in Marge on the recently concluded legislative session in Cheyenne as they bask in the sunshine in 70-degree weather.

One Less Place to buy Expensive Gas

On Wednesday a crew from Robinson Contracting Inc. out of Casper was removing the pumps and storage tanks from the former Loaf'N Jug location on Coffeen Avenue in Sheridan. This must mean that who ever takes over the location won't have any pumps or tanks to pump fuel from in the future. Just one less location in which to spend your hard earned money on expensive fuel.

March 20th

South Park Bridge Ribbon Cutting

At 9:45 am on a beautiful, first day of spring, with the Chairman of TRAC, Bruce Pryde, to his left; Mayor Kinskey standing behind him and surrounded by ambassadors, Jeff Mock a client of RENEW, cut the ribbon to officially open the South Park Bridge. After the ribbon cutting Jeff was the first to traverse the bridge.

One Last Glimpse of Winter

The Big Horns and the surrounding area received the last snow of winter on Monday, including portions of the area seen here between Wyoming Highway 335 and the mountains - just west of Big Horn. The longest winter in four years officially comes to an end Monday night at 11:14 pm. That means tomorrow, the first day of spring, day and night are each approximately 12 hours long.

Team Wyoming to compete in National Tournament

The Team Wyoming Pee Wee hockey team will participate in the USA Hockey National Tournament held just outside Washington DC March 28- April 1st.
