"We Are Big Horn" says the newly placed Bella Graphics & Display signage on the outside north wall of the Big Horn High School (BHHS) - and deservedly so. On September 15, 2011, Big Horn High School was recognized by the Secretary of Education as one of 304 schools (nationally) as a Blue Ribbon School for 2010.

The faithful and reliable signage at Perkins Restaurant and those in the vehicle windows of cars in the Sheridan High School parking lot on Monday morning say it all, "State Champs!" Some of the vehicle signs show the ravages of driving 300+ miles back from Laramie, many via Cheyenne, in extremely high wind and blowing snow conditions.

Our hats go off to the outstanding crew of Sheridan County School District No. 2 drivers who braved the elements and safely transported the Championship Football team, band and pep supporters to and from Laramie. Six buses made the roundtrip that included a detour through Cheyenne - a departure from the normal route through Medicine Bow on the way home.

Moments after the Broncs beat the Thunderbirds by a score of 42 to 14 the snow started to fall but didn't begin to put a damper on the post game celebration as many gathered to show off the 2011 State Championship Trophy. More photos under 2011 Bronc Football at: http://deerrungraphics.com/

The cannon just blasted away as Little Snake River scored in the 2011 1A 6-Man State Football Championship to make the score 54 to 33, Snake River on top, with 6:00 to go in the 4th quarter. Following this game it will be Southeast v/s Cokeville starting at 1:00pm. Then at 4:00pm it will be the Sheridan Broncs taking on the Cheyenne East Thunderbirds.

The tarps have been taken off of the new concrete Whittier Street adjacent to the Safeway store. Perhaps soon customers of Safeway will find it easier to get into and out of the parking lot.

The auditorium at the Sheridan VA was standing room only Friday morning for a Veterans Day Ceremony that included guest speaker U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis and music from Alton Miller.

Sheridan fans filled the grandstand last Friday at Scott Field for the playoff game against Campbell County. Now let's fill the stadium at the University of Wyoming for the 4A State Championship Football game on Saturday at 4:00 pm. - the Sheridan Broncs will be taking on the Cheyenne East Thunderbirds.
