Beautiful Day for a Walk Through Thone-Rider Park

Monday morning was a beautiful day for a walk beneath the blue sky and among the fallen leaves. And Thorne-Rider Park was just the place to do it. Many Sheridan residents don't realize the vastness of the 57 acre park that was deeded to the City of Sheridan in 1926 by the Kendrick family.

The Broncs Smoked the Trojans @ Homecoming

Thanks to help from Senator Bruce Burns the Sheridan Broncs 'smoked' the Kelly Walsh Trojans at homecoming on Friday evening. Actually Senator Burns provided fireworks during half time that illuminated the sky above Scott Field in a tremendous visual display and a few loud bangs for extra measure.

Clouds, Snow or Waterfalls on the Bighorns?

Seniors Shine @ Homecoming

It was Homecoming in the gym at Sheridan High School on Saturday afternoon and seniors Kira Kirkham and Stephany Sessions rose to the occasion as they blocked the hit by Cheyenne Central's Paige Jernigan to start the second match. It was a great day for the Lady Broncs and especially the nine seniors who played volleyball on their home court for the final time.

Homecoming King Gabe Dahmke, aka Bronc receiver and defensive back #22, was in the locker room at half time of the football game and missed his own coronation. However Queen Macey Reid and King Gabe Dahmke were reunited on the football field after the big Bronc victory and after Queen Reid had retired her musical instrument from her stint with the band in the stands during the game.

Delightful Homecoming Night

Two minutes into the game, on the Broncs first possession, Jordan Roberts gets hit at the 8 from where he carried three Kelly Walsh Trojans, JP Ellbogen, Marco Sanchez and Kirk Durtsche, into the end zone while managing to get the ball across the goal line before his right knee touched down for the first TD of the game.

The Lady Rams Nip the Lady Eagles - barely

It took all five games for the 3rd ranked Big Horn Lady Rams to edge out the Tongue River Lady Eagles in Dayton on Thursday evening in cross-district volleyball action. After splitting the first two games (TR 25-17 & BH 25-15) TR came out on top in the third 26 to 24. But then Big Horn turned it up a notch and took the last two 25-20 and 15-11.
