Lady Panthers Are Headed to State

The Lady Panthers from Arvada-Clearmont are headed to the Casper Events Center for the Class 1A - 2011 State Volleyball Tournament where they will see first round action against Burlington at 7:30pm Thursday, October 27th. The Lady Panthers earned the trip to state by finishing 4th in last weekend's regional tournament in Torrington.

A wagon full of fun was had when Suzie Puckett & Kathy Kubsch paraded their "Clown Car" across the stage of the Band Shell in Kendrick Park Saturday for the 11th Annual Pet-O-Ween. In and around the wagon were Shilo, Greta, Beemer, Petie, Heidi, Jack, Cookie, Stella and Bailey - consisting of 4 aussies, 2 wieners, 1 yorkie, 1 Jack Russel and 1 Golden Doodle.

Wright too much for Big Horn in the Title Match

The Big Horn Lady Rams kept the first game against the Lady Panthers from Wright close until Brittany Belt, belted this one over the net and past the block of Lady Rams Jadyn Mirich and Mali Wright to make the score 23 to 19. The Lady Rams then took a time out but could not bounce back as the Lady Panthers took the first game 25-21.

Pet-O-Ween's Scariest (updated)

To the surprise of all - and I do mean ALL - was what came out of a large black plastic container that was carried on to the stage by Kevin and Dalton Taylor with help from others. A "poodle as a python" - an 18-foot Reticulated Python named Dora is what appeared when the lid was opened.

Perfect Friday

The Big Horn Lady Rams ran the table on Friday going 3 for 3 at noon and then again in the evening as they rolled over their cross-district rivals, the Lady Eagles from Tongue River 25-16, 25-23, and 25-17.

Big Horn Advances to Meet Tongue River

It took just three, but the Big Horn Lady Rams had a battle with the Burns Lady Broncs in the first game coming out on top 28 to 26 and then followed with 25 to 20 and 25 to 17 wins in round one action at Sheridan High School in the 2A East Regional Volleyball Tournament.

The future site of the Sheridan College Large Animal Science Facility in the Wrench Ranch Hills Subdivision in north Sheridan. A special ceremony was held Thursday to announce Neltje's gift to the College of 40 acres of land valued at $1.2 million. The complete story can be viewed by clicking here.

Fall Yard Display - But What is the Antique Farm Implement?

A symbol of fall stands to the right of an antique farm implement that was used, in its day, in the spring. Do you know what it is? The only hints I can provide is that it is about 106-years old, was used in the spring and currently resides in Big Horn.
