Ryan King, representing King's Saddlery, won The 3rd Annual "Blue Ribbon Cook-off" at the 3rd Thursday Street Festival. He won $500 for his steak. His strategy? Keep it simple - sear both sides and lots of salt and pepper.

The new four-head traffic lights are up and working at Brundage Lane & Coffeen Avenue and at Sugar Lane & Coffeen. As seen here a yellow caution arrow is illuminated allowing traffic to turn left from Coffeen onto Brundage Lane while the other lights remain red - thus allowing traffic in the left turn lane to turn before the opposite flowing traffic light turns green.

Intermountain Construction and Materials (ICM) of Gillette on Wednesday morning was paving the widened shoulders of West Loucks Street at the bottom of Sparrow Hawk Hill. In addition to the widening of the road shoulders from 6 to 10-feet turn lanes are being added at both the Sparrow Hawk and Osprey Boulevard intersections.

Scott Kent, Big Horn's Postmaster, waters his dahlias on Wednesday morning. Known for his green thumb Scott grows giant flowers in front of his post office at 226 Johnson Street in Big Horn each year to the delight of area residents and visitors as well.

Perhaps cowboy Chris Sorenson is thinking about picking up a 6-pack of Bud before getting into his Hammer Chevrolet Pickup to listen to 93.7 "Coyote Country" on his way home where he will catch up on the news listening to KROE at 930 on the dial before turning on his computer to see his picture on Sheridan Media.

Just a few minutes into the final afternoon of the 2011 Sheridan County Rodeo Sierra Zowada threw a quick loop in Adult Breakaway Roping for a time of 4.51 on her 2nd go - unfortunately she had a "no time" on her first go so it was Ronda Holwell who had the best time on two go's with a 7.20.

Saturday evening the Sheridan County Rodeo started with the Junior Calf Riding and all eyes were on Anthony Graves as he came out of the chute. Anthony looked good coming out but he couldn't hold on for the full time. Scroll down for more of Anthony's ride. The 4th and final performance of the 2011 Sheridan County Rodeo starts at 1:00 pm Sunday.

In senior steer riding on Friday night Lacy Blea scored a 70 for the top score of the evening en route to showing the boys how to ride a steer. Lane Dockery scored a 63 as the only boy to stay on till the buzzer. If you want to see Lacy ride again it will be during the Saturday evening performance that starts at 7:00 pm.

In past years Devan Reilly was putting on a Sheridan Bronc football uniform in August but this year he's riding a bronc. And ride the bareback bronc he did for a score of 62 in the first event of the 2011 Sheridan County Rodeo that started Friday evening. Devin will be riding again Saturday evening at 7:00 pm but there is also rodeo action at 1:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
