Serving Pie at Junior High

Perhaps this is why counselors don't work in the school cafeteria on a regular basis. Look at how Counselor Mary Barbula serves pie to Assistant Principal Kim Anderson on the last day of school at Sheridan Junior High. During the last minutes of the school year most students were in the stands as a circle of students and faculty members tossed stuffed toys around until the music stopped.

Annual Spring Cleaning

As the early morning sun peered through the new leaves of spring Debbie Bakel and her husband Richard from Loveland, Colorado were busy spring cleaning statues in the Sheridan Area. Here they are busy cleaning "Summit CEO's" by J. C. Dye that is part of Sheridan's permanent public art display thanks to a donation by Sheridan Media and the Sheridan Public Arts Committee.

June 6th

Fun is not measured by the length of the slide

Minutes after opening for the season at 12:30 pm on Monday 4th grader Corey Hansford goes down the 170-foot slide into 59-degree water on the left while Kindergartner-to-be Ty Miller goes down the 6-foot slide out of a frogs mouth into much warmer water. You be the judge as to who is having the most fun.

No Fear of a Rabies Needle Here

Kaycee leaps onto the table for his rabies shot early Monday morning at the Band Shell in Kendrick Park. Monday was the first day of the Rabies Clinic and Kaycee, a keltie and border collie mix. was dog #6 to get his shot by Mack Bischoff, of Bischoff Veterinary Services. Curt Vojta, Kaycee's owner, said they were probably off for a frisbee throw next.

Saturday Night Delight

It was a "Saturday Night Delight" at 9:00 pm Saturday as the setting sun left Sheridanites and visiting Hoop Jammers with a spectacular view when looking west.

Sheridan's Bucket Dumpers 'dump the bucket' and Win

The 11th Annual Wyoming Rehab Hoop Jam 3 on 3 Street Basketball Tournament concluded Sunday afternoon with several Sheridan area teams taking home top honors. In the girls 4th grade competition the Sheridan "Bucket Dumpers" avenged a 7 to 6 loss to the "Swish" on Saturday to take the championship game beating them by a score of 16 to 12 on Sunday.

The 11th Annual Hoop Jam is Underway

The 11th Annual Wyoming Rehab Hoop Jam kicked off on a beautiful Saturday morning in Sheridan as 190 teams went into action on the courts of Whitney Plaza - behind Sheridan Commercial. Proceeds from the event support Sheridan School District #2 Athletic Training Program and Wyoming Rehab's continued advancement of Sports Medicine.

For a Good Tasting Time Drop by the Ice Cream Stand

Thursday evening Brielle Green dipped up huckleberry ice cream in a waffle cone at the Kendrick Park Ice Cream Stand complete with a free smile. The stand has been open - weather permitting - since May 12th and has now changed to its summer hours of operation of 11:00 am to 9:00 pm daily now that school is out.

Family Movie Nite in front of the Band Shell at Kendrick Park picked a beautiful Friday evening for the showing of "Despicable Me" at 9:00 pm.

11th Annual Hoop Jam Coming Your Way

The hoops are up at Whitney Plaza - behind Sheridan Commercial where Katie Mischke, from Sheridan, was getting in a little practice on Friday evening. From the looks of that dunk others in the women's bracket should be shaking in their shoes if they have to go up against her.
