Broncs Advance to Championship by beating Laramie

In Friday's game #6 of the 4A East Regional Boys Basketball Championships the Broncs came on strong at the end to upset Laramie 49 to 42 thanks in part to: a three by Isaac Carrel while getting a hug from Laramie's Nick Mayes, traffic direction from Raith Durham, power going to the hoop from Riley Ryan and a power dunk from Dex Currington.

Lady Broncs fall to Cheyenne East

Friday's game #7 was a downer for the Lady Broncs as they fell to the Lady Thunderbirds from Cheyenne East 51 to 39 in the 4A East Regional Girls Basketball Championships.

Game #5 Goes to Laramie over Campbell County

Friday near the end of a close game #5 of the 4A East Regional Girls Basketball Championships, Laramie put pressure on the Campbell County shooters, pulled down rebounds, stole the ball and hit hoops on the other end of the court to defeat Campbell County 44 to 42. Laramie advances to the Championship round against Cheyenne East at 1:00 p.m.

Campbell County Starts Slow but beats Cheyenne East

In Friday's game #8 of the 4A Regional Boys Basketball Championships, Campbell County started slow and trailed Cheyenne East by 10 mid-way through the 2nd period but in the end it was Campbell County 49 and East 44. Shown here Campbell County's Taran Brown gets a dunk, East pulls down a rebound, a Camel three by Evan Lopez and a deuce by Camel Cody Anderson.

Boys 4A East Regional Basketball Championships

In the 2nd game of the 4A East Regional Basketball Championships on Thursday the Sheridan Broncs came out strong and never looked back as they extended a half-time score of 34-14 to a 63-29 final. Sheridan's Raith Durham, Dexter Currington and Riley Ryan are shown here going for early scores as they each rise above a sea of green jerseys. Sheridan next faces Laramie at 5:30 p.m.

The 4A East Regional Basketball Championship

In the first game of the 4A East Regional Girls Basketball Championship @ Sheridan on Thursday Cheyenne East snuck by Cheyenne Central 42 to 36.

Master Storyteller Bill Harley on the WYO Stage

Two-time Grammy Award winner, Bill Harley commanded the WYO Stage on Wednesday evening. With his guitar, voice and facial expressions he opened his show and wowed the audience with "I Don't Wanna Wait" followed by many more of his selections. Bill is supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council with funding from the State Legislature and National Endowment for the Arts.

"Cat in the Hat" visits Sheridan on Dr. Seuss's 107th Birthday

Wednesday, on the 107th birthday of Dr. Seuss, the man behind the "Cat in the Hat," - the "Cat in the Hat" appeared at the Sheridan Fulmer Public Library. Penny Hotovec of Ready to Learn at Wyoming PBS accompanied Denah McDonald, aka the "Cat in the Hat" into the Inner Circle of the Library to a crowd of youngsters who were eager to meet-and-greet.

Sheridan Ice's 2nd Annual "Ice Show"

Sheridan Ice Figure Skaters Jessica Ross, Jessie Pattison, Catherine Winnop, Elizabeth Winnop, Kairstyn Holden and Katelyn Kayser wrap up their season by taking to the ice one more time for the 2nd Annual Ice Show. Their Coach Emily Emond says the free Ice Show is an opportunity for the girls to showcase their talents in front of a home crowd.
