Career Expo Brought in a Diverse Crowd

The 4th annual Career Expo was held Thursday at the Sheridan College Dome.

The 2011 Career Expo brought in prospective job seekers of all ages Thursday at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome at Sheridan College.

Crews with Sheridan Fire-Rescue responded to a report of smoke inside the Historic Cady building Thursday morning shortly after 9 am. The old Cady Opera House is home to offices for Pinnacle Gas, Rockwell Petroleum, Sanford's Grub and Pub and The Bucking Buffalo Supply Company.

Sheridan Media Website Wins Edward R. Morrow Award

Sheridan Media has won the Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Small Market Website for the Rocky Mountain Region for the second year in a row.

For the second year in a row, the Sheridan Media website has been honored by the Radio Television Digital News Association, or RTDNA with the Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Small Market Website.

Rec. Board Approves Pay Scale Change

The Sheridan Rec. Board approved a pay scale decrease for seasonal part-time employees.

The Sheridan Recreation District Board of Trustees approved a slight decrease in their pay scale for part-time seasonal employees.

Recreation District Executive Director Richard Wright says the decrease has to do with the current economic situation

Earth Day at the Park

There are many events planned to celebrate Earth Day in Sheridan over the next few days.

The 41st anniversary of Earth Day is Friday, and there are no shortage of events in Sheridan to commemorate the event.

From 5:30 to 7 pm this evening the Wyoming Wilderness Association is holding the 5th annual Miniature Art and Music Auction at Davis Gallery.
