JCSD1 Board Recognized By School Board Association

At their last meeting Johnson County School District One announced that some of their board members were recently recognized by the Wyoming School Board Association for completing levels of training in their Leadership Development Programs.

Fletcher Construction Approved For Heritage Bridge Work

Saturday, seven buses loaded with 150 kids, all headed to Kmart for Christmas shopping. Now that sounds like a disaster in the making, but no worries; it was the annual “Shop With a Cop” event sponsored by Peoples Assistance Food Bank and Joy Junction.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Environmental Protection Agency has released a progress report on its research into potential impacts of natural gas hydraulic fracturing and drilling on drinking water.

UPDATE: As of Dec. 29, the petition has garnered almost 100,000 signatures. Per the terms and conditions of the White House's online petition site, this particular petition has crossed the final signature threshold and will require a response from the Obama Administration. Additionally, it's confirmed that Alex Jones-led InfoWars, based out of Austin, Texas, created the petition.

In the wake of the tragic shooting massacre in Connecticut, the debate over the Second Amendment is raging. On Friday, a Texas man created a petition on the White House's official website to deport CNN's Piers Morgan for "targeting the Second Amendment" in a recent debate with Larry Pratt, Executive Director of Gun Owners of America.
