The biennial Buffalo Rabies Clinic will be happening this weekend, giving pet owners the opportunity to save some money while protecting their pets and getting them licensed if they live within the city limits.

Wyoming House Speaker Tom Lubnau has suggested that the investigation into misconduct by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill be delayed until after the upcoming budget session.

The kickoff event for Sheridan County's 2014 Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society, will be held next Tuesday night (Jan. 28) in Sheridan.

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce also reports that 30 organizations and individuals shared updates and needs last week during a two-day forum with a panel of six local state legislators.

Chamber Reports Ag Grants Available

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce reports that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has grants available for renewable energy and energy efficient projects in Wyoming. The grants range from $1,500 to half a million.

Three elementary schools in Wyoming have been nominated for this year's National Blue Ribbon Schools award, and one is in Sheridan.
