Buffalo to Get New Fire Truck

City of Buffalo Fire Chief Gomer Gammon gave a report to the city council last week on the new fire truck the city ordered in 2010, saying it is ready and will be delivered to the city this week, barring any last-minute problems.

Chamber Looking to “Paint the Town Green”

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce wants businesses to "Paint the Town Green".

In the spirit of St. Patty's Day, the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce wants Chamber and Downtown Sheridan Association members to “Paint the Town Green” by decorating their store windows.

Reminder: Drivers Stop for School Buses

Motorists are reminded to slow down and then stop when school bus lights are flashing yellow to red. Also, stop for children crossing at crosswalks.

On the March 4th edition of the Jackson Electric Open Line, a caller phoned in to inquire why the crosswalk lights on Big Horn Avenue are currently in use since Meadowlark Elementary School on DeSmet has been torn down and the new school won't be finished for a number of months.

Bobcat Pelts Must by Registered Soon

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department reminds trappers and hunters that all bobcats harvested this season must be registered with the Game and Fish by 5 pm Friday March, 11th.

DSA Hosts Wine Festival

The annual Downtown Sheridan Association Wine Festival is Friday evening March 4th at the Historic Sheridan Inn.

The annual Downtown Sheridan Association Wine Festival welcomes guests tonight at the Historic Sheridan Inn. Spokesman Robby Smith says this is the major fundraiser of the year for the DSA.

The renovation of the kitchen hood is nearly complete at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, which has allowed the kitchen to recently open back up for business.

The Everyday Woman Event

Women young and young-at-heart are invited to share coffee and fellowship at a free gathering March 5th.

The Sisters in Christ group invite area women to join them for a morning of fellowship, fun, laughter, encouragement and inspiration. A non-denominational organization, the “Everyday Woman: Ordinary to Extraordinary” presentation will take place Saturday, March 5th from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
