Grant For Airport Taxilane Approved By Jo Co Commission

Johnson County's Commissioners, at their Tuesday meeting, approved Commission Chair Delbert Eitel to sign and accept a grant from the Wyoming Department of Transportation for a taxi lane at the Johnson County Airport.

Sage Grouse Work Group To Meet Next Week In Buffalo

The Northeast Wyoming Sage Grouse Working Group will meet next Tuesday, September 10th in Buffalo at the Johnson County Fire Hall.

The meeting will begin at 9:30am at the Fire Hall located at 790 Volunteer Lane, just off the North Bypass Road.

Buffalo City Crews To Replace Water Line On S. DeSmet

At the Buffalo City Council meeting Tuesday, City Works Director Les Hook gave his report to the council, saying city crews will be concentrating on water line projects and chip and seal street projects in the next few weeks.

Council Awards Bid for High Tech Park Landscaping

The Sheridan High Tech Business Park landscaping project consists of the installation of 54 trees and a drip irrigation system for the trees along High Tech Road within the business park in north Sheridan.

Wrench Ranch II Annexation to be Amended

Although the Sheridan City Council approved the second reading of the Wrench Ranch II annexation, there will be some changes to the ordinance when it comes before the Council for third reading.

Strengthening International Education in Wyoming

The University of Wyoming has concluded a two-year study to assess what it can do to strengthen international education in Wyoming. Anne Alexander is the director of International Programs at the University and served as co-chair of the study.

Commissioners Consider Flood Plan Update, Grant Liquor License Transfer to New Business, Hear Horse Racing Proposal

The Sheridan County Commission approved consideration of a new floodplain management plan, granted a transfer of a liquor license for a new business and heard a proposal for pari-mutual wagering on horse racing during Tuesday’s regular meeting at the courthouse.

Monday night, the Jentel Foundation held its monthly meeting featuring the artists in residency there.

Buffalo BLM, Honor Camp Partner For Rehab Of Mallo Trail

The Bureau of Land Management announced that the Buffalo Field Office and the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp will be partnering for a rehabilitation project on the Mallo Trail this month.

A trail crew will begin deferred maintenance the week of September 16th-20th.

Jo Co Commission Approves Land Lease For Shooting Range

At their Tuesday meeting the Johnson County Commissioners discussed and then approved a land lease for a proposed indoor shooting range to be located on county-owned land near the airport.
