Battle Butte Trek is Sunday

The Sheridan County Historical Society will be holding their annual trek for the museum this Sunday (Sept. 29). This year's destination will be Battle Butte, or the Battle of Wolf Mountain battlefield in southern Montana.

Growing the Arts and Culture Economy

A creative economy study in 2008 indicated that there is potential for growing the arts and culture in Sheridan and Johnson Counties to be a viable economic tool for both communities.

Conference Focuses On Biotech Industry

Nearly 40 people attended a two-day conference at Sheridan College last week focusing on emerging issues in the biotechnology industry and how those issues can affect our lives.

Local Author Holds Book Signing Event

Local author Bernie Bernwall of Sheridan will be signing books in Sheridan, on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Midtown Cafe on North Main Street, from 1-3 in the afternoon.

Buffalo City Council Gets Update On Senior Center HVAC

AJ Mock, Director of the Buffalo Senior Center, gave a report to the Buffalo City Council at their last meeting, updating them on the status of the heating and cooling system at the center.

Knights Of Columbus Bingo Raises Funds For Many

The second annual Knights Of Columbus Bingo Tournament will be tonight (September 24th) beginning at 6:30 at the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church Recreation Hall in Buffalo.

USFS Seeks Public Input On Scenic Byway Planning

The Bighorn National Forest will be hosting the first in a series of public meetings this Thursday, September 26th at the Johnson County Library from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

Hazelton Road Delays Planned Near Dull Knife Reservoir

Johnson County Road and Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer is advising the public that there may be travel delays on Hazelton Road, also know as County Road 3 at Dull Knife from Monday, September 30th through Friday October 4th.

Monday we reported that Byran Bettcher, owner of Extreme Auto Body in Sheridan was upset over the city's decision to use an out-of-state company to repair hail damage to several of the police department vehicles.
