On the Agenda for the Johnson County Commissioners' meeting Tuesday is a Resolution for the use of Consensus Funds to pay for the expansion at the Johnson County library. The discussion will begin at 9:30 this morning (October 1).
Chemical neutering to control wild coyote populations in the state is being looked at by a group of researchers from the University of Wyoming. Zoology doctoral degree student Marjorie MacGregor says they hope to use chemicals to neuter the coyotes without changing the animal’s natural behavior.
The Wyoming Department of Health has reported that there have already been a handful of confirmed cases of the flu in the state. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has information on several upcoming flu clinics in Sheridan.
Today is the last day for entries to the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter pet calender contest, as photos will be accepted until midnight (Sept. 30). Photos of any type of animal are welcome, as long as it is a pet. Pictures should include animals only, no people.
