It's time once again to take a look back at some of the stories that made the news this past week with our Sheridan Media Week in Review.

The Sheridan Police Department issued a news release Monday, announcing that they'd arrested 29-year-old Anthony Deflavis and charged him with aggravated assault and battery in connection with a fight that happened on Dec. 19 at the Rail's Bar. During the altercation, the victim was cut with a knife and sustained laceration injuries to the face and neck.

I-90 at Piney Creek Reopened

UPDATE (3:15pm) - The Wyoming Department of Transportation reopened Interstate 90 between Sheridan and Buffalo at approximately 1:30 pm.
Conditions are slick with limited visibility. Motorists are reminded to slow down and drive with caution.

Wyoming Draft Sage Grouse Plan Released

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The U.S. Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service favor a middle path among the options they're considering for protecting sage grouse habitat in Wyoming.

I-90 Closed at Piney Creek Due to Crash

UPDATE - A multiple vehicle crash at Piney Creek has resulted in the closure of Interstate 90 in both the east and west-bound lanes between Sheridan and Buffalo.

Emergency vehicles are still on the scene at this time.

Federal Judge Allows Idaho Wolf Hunt

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A federal judge allowed a wolf derby to proceed on public land in Idaho, ruling its organizers aren't required to get a special permit from the U.S. Forest Service.

Green River to Host 2nd Annual Spaceport Day

GREEN RIVER, Wyo. (AP) - If you start calling a rural airstrip a spaceport, there's no telling who might land there.

Almost 20 years have passed since Green River officials renamed their local dirt airstrip out in the sagebrush the Greater Green River Intergalactic Spaceport.
