Big Horn Mountain Festival 'Great Weekend For Buffalo'

The Ninth Annual Big Horn Mountain Festival happened this past weekend at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Buffalo and again featured some of the best musicians, singers, songwriters and bands in the acoustic music genre.

Semi-Trailer Fire Off of I-90

Just before 7 o'clock Sunday evening, a semi-trailer caught fire on the Interstate 90 exit 20 off ramp near the stop light on north Main by Kmart. Sheridan Fire-Rescue along with Rocky Mountain Ambulance, Sheridan Police Department and the Wyoming Highway Patrol responded to the incident.

BLM to sell coal next to Cordero Rojo mine

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The U.S. Bureau of Land Management is preparing to auction off $149 million tons of federal coal next to a surface mine in Campbell County. The coal underlies a 1,300-acre area known as the Maysdorf II North Coal Tract.

Members of the Yakama Nation made the journey to Sheridan from Washington state to participate in the WYO Rodeo Parade and the First People's Pow Wow. One of the dances performed by the young dancers was the Yakama's swan dance.
