Website Helps Prevent Fraud Over the Phone

Friday we told you about a scam in Sheridan where a citizen was contacted by phone in an effort to obtain their credit card information that would have no doubt been used fraudulently. The individual suspected fraud and did not give out any of their information.

We begin our look back at some of the top stories of this past week with our Sheridan Media Week in Review. After a public meeting in Story Wednesday night, and a marathon meeting Thursday night of the Sheridan County Planning and Zoning Commission, the amendments to the County's rules and regulations regarding riparian areas were approved by the Commission on a 4-1 vote.

The item will now go before the Sheridan County Commission later this month. Commissioner Steve Maier.

Wyoming Records First West Nile Case This Year

RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Health Department is reporting the state's first case of West Nile virus in a human this year.

The agency announced Friday that the case involves an adult female from Platte County.
