Buffalo Council, Jo Co Commission Meetings Tuesday

The Johnson County Commission and the Buffalo City Council will have their first meetings of February Tuesday, and both will work through full agendas.

The county commissioners will review the county audit report, award the bid for the Canal Road Bridge, and amend the agreement between Sheridan and Johnson Counties on the Lake DeSmet Agreement.

The Sheridan City Council unanimously approved the third and final reading of ordinance #2124 Monday night. The ordinance amends City code pertaining to building and site design standards to make the development process more administrative.

During the 2007-2008 school year, Sheridan High School had a graduation rate of 76 percent, which prompted the school to begin interviewing parents and students about what needed to be done differently to improve the graduation rate.
