Hunters dreaming of snagging a wild bison this year have until February 28th to submit their name for the wild bison priority listing.

U.S. Senator Mike Enzi responded to the President's State of the Union Address on Wednesday by saying the President, by in large, ignored some critical issues related to the economy and federal spending. He explains.

The trial for Sheridan resident Miranda Mraz got underway Wednesday in Fourth Judicial District in Sheridan County. Mraz is on trial for Felony Larceny for allegedly stealing money from the Eagles Club at 5th and Main April 21st of 2012. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the details.

At their meeting Wednesday, the Sheridan Area Water Supply Board heard an update on current projects - including upgrades to the Sheridan Water and Big Goose Treatment Plants.

Buffalo Public Works Director Les Hook presented to the city council at their last meeting information on computers that will need to be purchased for the water treatment plant.

At a scheduled work session Tuesday, the Johnson County Commissioners discussed implementing a Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) for the county, similar to one already in use by the City of Buffalo.

The State Of The County Address was presented at a Wednesday luncheon, and Johnson County Commission Chair Delbert Eitel said the state of the county is “pretty good.”

The state legislature is considering a bill this week that would require service industry professionals to pool some of their tips together and redistribute the money.
