Groups gathered Tuesday at the WYO Theater to announce Sheridan's three days of events for Earth Day 2012.

In the wake of state reports criticizing workplace safety in Wyoming, Cloud Peak Energy has announced that they will implement a new workplace safety and health program called CORESafety.

At their meeting Tuesday evening, the Buffalo City Council approved on second reading Ordinance No. 1354, pertaining to offenses stemming from parking downtown.

The public comment period on the proposed 2012 sage grouse season regulation has been extended to April 24. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is proposing a sage grouse season between September 15th through the 30th, with a daily limit of two birds and a possession limit of four.

Johnson County will have their official flag flying in Douglas this year during the Wyoming State Fair August 11th through the 18th.

At their meeting Tuesday, the Johnson County Commissioners opened bids from four insurance carriers to provide health insurance to county employees.

The Sheridan County Commissioners approved a change order in the amount of $13,815 for the upgrades to the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office.
