Gilead Fire Containment Now At 56 Percent

The Gilead Fire grew from 8,068 acres Friday to 8,134 acres Saturday, but containment also increased from 47% to 56%, according to the latest information released on InciWeb.

UW Receives Advanced Research Computing Center

The University of Wyoming has received the hardware for a new high-performance computing center on campus. The Advanced Research Computing Center will allow UW faculty to conduct computational research. Tim Kuhfuss is UW’s director of research support for Information Technology.

Gusty Winds Drive Wildfire Near Leiter

Gusty winds Friday helped drive a wildfire north of Leiter to grow to more than 6,000 acres. Fire crews from Sheridan County as well as Montana are battling the blaze. The fire is burning near Passiac Road in Sheridan County to the Montana State line.
