JCSD1 OKs Transportation, Tuition Waivers, Home School

The Johnson County School District One Board Of Trustees, at their last meeting, approved requests for out-of-state bus transportation, tuition waivers and acknowledged home school requests for the 2012-13 school year.

Buffalo Building Inspector Says Number Of Permits Up

Buffalo Building Inspector Toby Rhoades gave his report to the city council at their last meeting, saying construction projects that are currently ongoing are Crazy Woman Square, the Sports Fields Complex, Buffalo/Johnson County Judicial Center, three new homes, three new garages and numerous remodels and additions.

Gilead Fire Now At 7,800 Acres, 50% Contained

The Gilead Fire, Northwest of Buffalo grew to 7,800 as of Sunday, and was still sitting at 50% containment.
