LDCC Eyes Change to JPB Agreement

Due to the fact that Sheridan County and Johnson County can't see eye-to-eye on the Game and Fish 99-year lease proposal for junior water rights on Lake DeSmet, there may be a a change to the Joint Powers Board agreement.

Wyo. Gets New Medicaid Fraud Reporting

Wyoming residents now have two ways to easily report potential Medicaid fraud thanks to a new state website and hotline.

Buffalo Looking At Plaque To Recognize Firefighters

At Tuesday's city council meeting, Buffalo Mayor Randy Dyess suggested to City Planner Zach Montgomery that the city look into adorning the new band shell building in Crazy Woman Square with a plaque commemorating the firefighters and pilots that slurry bombed downtown in 1988 that saved the rest of the buildings from the arson fire that demolished the buildings where the square stands today.

Lake DeSmet Counties Coalition Addresses G&F Lease

Lake DeSmet Counties Coalition Administrator Edith Johnson-LaMeres and JPB member and Sheridan County Commissioner Bob Rolston.

Tuesday, the Sheridan County Commissioners accepted the 99-year lease proposal from the Wyoming Game and Fish for junior water rights on Lake DeSmet. Wednesday, the Johnson County Commissioners rejected the G&F proposal, stating that they weren't comfortable with the length of the lease.
