Buffalo's City Council voted to extend the existing franchise agreement between the city and Optimum Cable.

4-H and FFA members from around the county and beyond are showing off their livestock this week at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. After raising their chosen animals almost from their infancy, the competitors know all too well that grace in show only comes from hard work.

Miss Wyoming Lexie Madden will be in and around Sheridan on August 3-4, 2012. Lexie will be in the Buffalo parade on Saturday August 4, 2012, after the parade she will be walking around Buffalo meeting the community and its members.

The Johnson County Fair continues the rest of this week, and more results from livestock and other competitions were released.

In the Horse Shows, highlights included Champion Senior Showman Alanna Starkovich and FFA Champion Showman Cahill Ellingwood.

Today at the Johnson County Fair will be the Beef Competitions, meetings on the upcoming State Fair in Douglas and the rodeo will get underway with early roping events.

There are going to be quite a few goodbyes at this week's Sheridan County Fair. Many of the 4-H/FFA participants will sell their livestock in the show ring after months of careful care.

State legislator, Jon Botten, appeared on Public Pulse on Newstalk 930, KROE, with host, Kim Love, to talk about how he's wrapping up his term in the Wyoming House of Representatives.

Lightning across the Sarpy Hills Tuesday night has sparked seven new fires on the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana. A media release from the Bureau of Indian Affairs states that the East Sarpy fire has covered over 40,000 acres since it was first detected Wednesday morning.
