Tuesday's meeting of the Johnson County Commissioners will begin with a discussion of the proposed lease of Lake DeSmet by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.

The 2012 Johnson County Fair and Rodeo Parade featured over 70 entries this year, with their interpretation of the theme “Dancing With The Steers.”

At their meeting this evening, the Buffalo City Council will discuss a subdivision of an existing lot into three seperate lots to allow seperate sale and ownership of the lots.

A concert to benefit the victims of the Ash Creek/Taylor Creek fire will be tomorrow night at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. More than 15 local bands will take the stage between 5 and 11 p.m. while patrons are encouraged to participate in silent and live auctions.

The Sarpy Hills complex of fires threw a slight smell of smoke over the City of Sheridan during the weekend caused by isolated smokes burning in the interior of the fire. As of this morning, the 82,000 acre fire, which was started by lightening, is 65 percent contained.

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee will be holding two candidate forums this week. Both candidate forums will take place at the Sheridan College CTEL at 7 pm this Wednesday and Thursday.

The Sheridan City Council tabled a rezone request from a property owner at 600 KROE Lane in Sheridan. Mr. Hart is requesting to rezone 2.6 acres from B-1 business to M-1 industrial to make his property more marketable. The Council will once again consider the item this evening.

A family home is making a treck from Big Horn into the city of Sheridan tomorrow morning, and the project's coordinators are hoping for the patience and cooperation of Sheridan citizens in their paths. The house will make its way from Bird Farm Road to Highway 335, then on to Big Horn Avenue.
