Both Sheridan High School Soccer Teams Reach State Championship Finals.

Sheridan High School soccer teams met with success today as they both claimed victories to reach the State Championship Finals to be played on Saturday. The Broncs beat Laramie 1-0 and will go on to play Kelly Walsh for the crown.

Free Pet Spay/Neuter Event Underway

The Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue still has available slots for cats to be spayed or neutered free of charge.

Construction Cam Lets People Watch Progress of Academic Center

Last week the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new 53,000 square foot Edward A. Whitney Academic Center took place on the campus of Sheridan College. Now people can actually watch the progression of the project via the Internet.

Two Presidents Discuss Partnership

Officials with the University of Wyoming were at Sheridan College Friday morning to officially announce the collaboration between the two colleges that includes the $3.2 million sale of the Watt Agricultural Center to the UW.

Following last month's meeting of the Northern Wyoming Community College District Board of Trustees, it was announced that the board would consider the sale of the Watt Agricultural Center to the University of Wyoming.

US Bank to Host Trees for Trash Drop Site

The parking lot adjacent to US Bank in Sheridan will be the second location for Saturday's annual Trees for Trash event.

The annual Trees for Trash event is Saturday in Sheridan, and while most of the trash gets taken up to the City Landfill, there has always been a second, or alternative location for some of the smaller items. This year US Bank of Sheridan will be the host of that second location.

BRBRC Encourages Investments In Renewable Energy

The Powder River Basin Resource Council has started an initiative to bring companies promoting renewable energy, such as wind or solar power, to Wyoming.
